The blendtec works great when it is new, the motor is super powerful but the jar is trash. Not functionally but with regards to how it holds up. The seals and bearings fail after light use and cannot be serviced. I wouldn’t have purchased a blendtec had I knew this, the vitamix is servicible. Basically the jar is good for 50-100 uses and then it stops working correctly, leaks and then catastrophically fails. Not good for an expensive product. The design could relatively easily be changed to use a gasket and ring so the blades could be repaired or replaced.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my 2nd replacement jar. This shouldn't happen. The bottom leaks black liquid. Blentec told me it's because of a malfunction in the jar...yet I had to pay for it. This new jar the lid lifts a little when it's turned on. It makes nervous it will completely come off so I feel the need to keep my hand on it.

I bought a replacement jar for my blender and within the first few washes the jar is discolored making it look dirty.

Jars wear out very fast and are overpriced. Metal gera on bottom of jar strips over time and fails

Great jar and total machine Only why I didn’t give 5 stars cause this is my 3rd jar I had to buy. It holds up well until a couple of years and than it starts to leak… has to throw out 2. Finally got my 3 rd. But I love this blender. It works very well. Just wis the jar would hold up longer. They are expensive and got to get from USA. Extra money

Worked great for as long as it lasted. But How long will the new one last? I was surprised when my previous FourSide Jar started disintegrating around the seal and putting small black pieces of rubber in my smoothies.
