Great in theory

I was SO excited when my husband came home with not only a glass blender, but one that came with this Blend-N-Go smoothie kit! For about three weeks, I used this kit, and my only complaint was regarding the lid. It is difficult to open and is in my face while I tried to drink, and the spout seemed a little too small. These were small prices to pay for the convenience of the kit, though. Then I realized that the plastic cup would melt and become deformed in the dishwasher. It would be great if this was glass, like the main blender. I was able to heat the rim of the cup up with boiling water and reform it to the circle shape to fit the lid and blender base perfectly again, and began hand washing. Again, not a huge deal, but becoming inconvenient. The deal breaker came for me when the plastic leak ring got sucked into the cup during blending and unbeknownst to me at the time, got chopped into my smoothie, rendering everything, including my blender, completely unusable. I would not purchase this kit again. So disappointing.

Great idea but poor lid design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought two because I love the idea of mix take and go, no mess. The lids on both are very hard to open even with two hands (took me a few tries). This was when empty. Hate to try it with liquid in it. Then when the lid is open and you try to drink from it the flip part of the lid hits you right between the eyes (not easy to drink from). I will not be able to use this item the way I wanted to. Now I will just mix my smoothie and pour it into another bottle, so much for no extra mess. The lid now becomes a lid for storing any leftovers in.
note- I would love to see this size in a jar glass version (not found of plastic for health reasons) to mix and pour into my own bottle. This little mess is okay. I think glass is quicker to wash anyway.

Nice margarita on the go!

I make margaritas in mine. I like its portability and it's great for taking on a drive in the country. Holds a good serving of the fun stuff. 3 or 4 cups on an empety stomach will make you happy. Going to get a few more of them so I can get plastered with my chums.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works well ,but the cup. design is lacking because it split along the thin plastic seam near the base lock and started leaking after less than 20 times of use it has only been hand washed so no extreme temperature changes not to mention it came with the blender and I just looked and the cup it's not waranteed or available in stores so it will have to be ordered from Oster directlly

Recently started using this attachment and I like being able to quickly make and take my smoothies on the go. However this bottle isn't the best design. More specifically the lid. It's very hard to open and most of the time I spill when I finally get it to pop open. The top doesn't flip back very far so it presses into your face when you try to drink. (I've been drinking from it sideways...) it has a very small mouth opening which makes it even trickier to drink from. It also tends to leak a little if you don't screw the lid on as tight as you can making it difficult to take off later. I might try a different smoothie bottle with a different lid for the future.
I would not recommend this one.

Perfect for smal batches. I was able to make pancake batter, smoothies, and salad dressings with no problems. As an added bonus, the spare blade is very sharp.
