I knew that the transmitters are close to the house (approx 4 miles) but not in direct view, being in a valley. Thus I purchased the amplified version. It is working very well.

The antenna worked as advertised. Had to aim it in different directions to find the best direction for my stations, but once found it works great. A couple of transmitters are at max range but does a great job. Very easy to assemble, took less than a minute.

Even placement on TV stand right next to flatscreen 14 feet away from the outer wall/windows that face the grouping of TV stations seems to work well - and the HD resolution is excellent. On cloudy, rainy days, reception can be affected somewhat. May buy extra long coaxial cable to test placement near outer wall/windows facing the TV stations.

The antenna has given me the Channels the I have lost. The amplifier did not work so I had to connect the antenna cable to the back on my TV. Once I did this I was able to get the channels I lost.

Good Antenna. Worlds Worst Stand!

I've had this antenna for a few years now. I don't live in an ideal situation to receive signals but this antenna, placed in the right spot, seems to find the signal. The stand is terrible though. You touch it it falls, you move it you have to reassemble the stand. I imagine you could have a group of kindergarten students design a better stand than what is provided.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
