Ascenta Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had our Ascenta dishwasher for a couple of months now and really like how quiet it is! At 50 dB, it's one of the quietest one out there. It gets all the dishes really clean too. Overall, we're very pleased!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super quiet! Dishes come out dry without having to leave door open. Costs only $25 a year to operate with a gas water heater. Best purchase ever!

Good machine with a few issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cheap dishwasher I had died suddenly so I checked the Consumer Reports reviews for a replacement. This model was top rated and only $150 over replacing with the same model, so I decided to upgrade. This is a high-quality machine for a good price. Even being the low end of the Bosch line, it's unbelievably quiet, has adjustable racks, and holds a lot more than my previous model. The stainless steel interior is much sturdier and will likely stay cleaner with little effort. Especially good are the top and bottom spray arms which mean I can load items that would have blocked water to the top rack before. The spacing of prongs holding dishes varies so you can fit both flat and deep items with a little thought. It also holds much larger baking sheets and pans so I don't have to handwash those. It does take rethinking your old way of loading a dishwasher which is probably why there are bad reviews for this. Another problem causing bad reviews is the fact that the screws holding the kickplate on are just barely long enough to screw in a couple of turns with a lot of effort. I installed the dishwasher myself but had to call the local service people to get that part done. Please consider changing the length of the screw or the slot that it screws into to avoid this problem. Another thing I've found annoying is that the bottom rack slides very freely with nothing holding it in place. Since my large plates fit at the front, the rack can tip up unless I'm very careful about pulling it out slowly and have the door completely flat. Overall, I'm very happy with this machine so far and expect it to give good service for a long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love how quiet it is. Cleans really well. Still trying to convince my husband that scrubbing isn't necessary before putting the dishes in it!

poor design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned many dishwashers over the years. While each one had there own rack design they were very muck alike and learning how to load them was a very short learning curve. Most lasted 10 years or more without needing repair and the soap dispenser always opened.
Last month my 10 year old dishwasher food chopper broke So I replaced it The sale person said the BOSH diswasher was the one to buy. Right now it looks like I made a mistake buying this BOSH dishwasher. First there is the design of the bottom rack there is almost no flexibility to what you can put in the rack. Also the design of the rollers makes it so the rack slides out of place and can be a hard to get it back in place.
The top rack has one row that you can't put normal size cups or glasses in.
The soap dispenser has failed to open a few times so have had to rewash the same load a few times because of this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this dishwasher. It is so quiet that you can’t even tell that it is on. It gets the dishes really clean. I don’t use the suggested rinse pilot because I want to avoid chemicals and the dishes are still very clean. Great value and I am glad I bought it,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very pleased with this appliance. It is runs very quietly and seems to clean the dishes well. I am not thrilled with the configuration of the rack but that may just be the adjustment from one style to the next.
