Great time saver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] bought this dishwasher to install in an existing house that didn't have one previously. We are very happy with the quality, size, sound levels, ease of install, etc. For installation we were able to just barely get it to fit into the cabinet space without removing the countertop or the tile floor. We did end up cutting the footboard thought, as we couldn't get it to fit up against the tile. My concern with dishwashers is the tendency for dirty water to puddle at the bottom, making it stinky, but this one has stayed clean and dry! It is very quiet while running. I usually open the door after drying and dishes dry 99% after half hour or so.

Good but not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This does the dishes alright and does an adequate job of it. I particularly appreciate the quick wash cycle, which does a good job with short loads. Three things would make it a 5-star machine. (1) The little wheels that make the bottom basket roll tend to fall off and roll away on the floor and become cat toys, and replacements are expensive (2) The silverware rack is awkwardly placed, with dead space front and back of the basket, and the hooks for attaching it not very obvious, so that my wife always sets the silverware rack loose on the basket floor (3) the controls are fun for kids to play with and cause havoc and the child lock is too complex for an adult to figure out and too easy for a kid to defeat.

Best Dishwasher I've Owned

I bought this model after seeing its excellent reliability and satisfaction ratings on Consumer Reports. I was initially concerned that a product in the budget-friendly end of the spectrum might not work as well as my previous more expensive models, but I have been delightfully surprised. This dishwasher works better than any I've ever owned for getting dishes clean without pre-rinsing (really!) and sparkling dry. It delivers on the 55 Db quiet promise; after its initial startup sequence I barely know it's running! My two (minor) complaints are: you have to power the unit off manually when the cycle completes or it will blink obnoxiously when you open the door; there's no way to opt out of the dry cycle. The drying takes a little over 15 minutes and it does a great job so I've just gotten used to having it, but sometimes in the winter I like releasing all that steam into the house for humidity and saving the energy. These are very small complaints, though; I'm a very happy customer!

Bosch Ascenta Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my new dishwasher for about a month now. I LOVE it. It cleans the dishes so well. Only negatives is the dishwasher has to be manually shut off at the end of the cycle. There is no heating element so drying takes a long time or I have to dry them myself. However, there are no spots or residue on dishes. Overall I highly recommend this dishwasher.

Ascent dishwasher

This dishwasher takes over two hours to clean. That's on the regular cycle. I don't know who designed the racks but they are horrible. It does clean well, it should for over two hours. It's also quiet. I've had dishwashers for fifty years and it seems the newer they get the more ridiculous they are designed.
