Love this dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 18 years, my GE dishwasher quit. It was a good run....but I needed to find a good dishwasher that was American made (support American products!). Bosch was the answer and after much research, I chose this model. The only thing I have to say is that you MUST use JetDry with it! Otherwise, your dishes don't dry! It doesn't have a heating element but instead dries by a different way and the JetDry is key to dry dishes!

This dishawasher cleans well and has plenty of space for the slightly smaller size we needed for our space. I'm surprised at how long the cylces take (over 2 hours). It's been a long time since I've owned a dishwasher so maybe they all take that long. I'm also a little surprised at how long the dishes stay wet after it's done running. Lastly, the wheels on the bottom rack are terrible. I'm not sure if it's a wheel issue, a rack issue or a track issue but the rack is constantly coming off of where it should be when the rack is getting rolled in or out.

Drying of Dishes Deficient...

Is it possible to fall in love with a dishwasher?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old dishwasher lasted an entire 4 years. (You read that right. 4 years.) I wasn't going to have that happen again, so I spent a couple days online researching different brands. Everything pointed to Bosch. The price was right, so I ordered one. Waited a couple weeks, and it was installed a couple days ago.
I happen to like the buttons on the front. While I didn't mind buttons on the top edge of the door, I like better being able to see what's going on from a distance. The LEDs are big and bright, operation is a piece of cake.
While it's running, it's QUIET. (Did I say that loudly enough?) I mean, be in the kitchen on the phone quiet. Very nice. The cycle time is just a little over half of the cycle time on the old one - I was practically dancing in the street over that. To not have to wait almost 4 hours for the dishwasher to finish is a huge plus.
The best part - the dishes are CLEAN and DRY at the end of the cycle. With the old one, I would have to hand-wash glassware; it left a gray film on glasses that I don't see with this one. And dry - unless there's a recess on top of something, it's dry when the dishwasher shuts off. The old one, I'd be drying quite a bit of what had supposedly been heat-dried.
Good riddance to the old dishwasher. I'll never buy anything from that company again.
My one complaint, and it's a small one, is that the silverware basket is MASSIVE. It's way too big for me, and takes up too much space in the bottom rack; after all, I'm not hosting the Seventh Fleet. The good news is, I looked online and found that Bosch offers a double basket where the baskets can be used together in a few configurations, or separately. I ordered one, and that should solve the huge basket issue.
Otherwise, I'm looking forward to many happy years with my Bosch.
