Quiet, efficient, good cleaning, but with challeng

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a quiet and efficient dishwasher that does a good cleaning job. But it's very important to know how to load the dishes, and where not to put dishes.
The most frustrating thing about this dishwasher is the design of the racks. The tines are all at angles, and many of my dishes just don't fit very well. It takes me longer to load (although I know I'll get used to it). The upside is that this model offers the Bosch flexibility to put plastic items anywhere, not just the top rack. So in between my ceramic dishes, I can place small plastic items. I'm getting the hang of it, but it still feels like I can't load as many dishes in it as I could my previous old Kenmore dishwasher.
The silverware caddies are a bit too flexible, but I love that they hold a lot of items.
I'd advise that one doesn't place any cups in the front corners of the top rack. The sprayer doesn't hit them and they don't get clean.
The plastic soap dispenser lid on the inside of the door has a little snap apparatus that feels a bit flimsy, and I hope it will not break over time.
The filter was easy to remove and rinse out.
This model is designed for use with a rinse aid to help drying. I have never used a rinse aid before, and tried the sample that came with the dishwasher. I didn't see that noticeable of a difference when not using the rinse aid. The dishes didn't dry that well, expecially if I don't unload the machine until later. I'm going to adjust the drying time and see if that helps, though I realize that the default settings are to help save energy. Might have to try rinse aid again.
The dishwasher is indeed very quiet, with exception of its draining -- the force of the water draining into my sink pipe was startlingly loud. It may have to do with my installation and plumbing, and not necessarily the dishwasher.
Overall, this dishwasher is a good bargain and definitely an improvement to my kitchen.

Super Quiet Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say I love ALMOST everything about this dishwasher. It is quiet (SO quiet!!) and does a fabulous job cleaning my dishes. The cycle choices are logical and easy to use. My only complaint is the rack setup - specifically the silverware baskets and wine glass space. My last dishwasher had the silverware basket on the inside of the door, and it was a great use of space. Left lots more room on the lower rack. And the wineglass space is only 6 slots - my last dishwasher had 8. Other than that, I have no complaints and overall it is a big upgrade from my previous dishwasher.

Overall, cleaning performance is good. However, the design of the dish racks is rather poor. Works if you only have plates, but if you also have bowls cups, etc. you'll have to be creative in how to put them in.

A good dishwasher!
