external HDD

I recently buy this tv, it's good, but i have a problem on external HDD,
when i connect it to tv, it didn't detect the HDD and the content, the format is NTFS, i don't have this problem on my previous 32 inch Bravia,
do you have any solution?

Hello Budi! We would like to recommend to try the steps available through the following links to make sure that the television detects the HDD properly. Keep in mind also that it is required that the external hard drive has its own power supply, since the USB port will not be capable of providing enough power for proper operation:

Lacking accessories

The TV has a clear picture, I do not have poor black uniformity as others have mentioned. The One-Flick remote should have come standard or we should at least have the ability to purchase this remote in the US. Wireless Keyboard support is unknown, even though the main page for Sony's Android TV site states that it does. The TVSideView app, which allows you to do voice search, have and use onscreen mouse / keyboard controls should have been mentioned more prominently, as this gives you far more functionality. With a better remote, I would have given 5 stars.

Best Purchase Ever - hardly

I bought this TV a week ago, and I really liked it but my enthusiasm is dropping every day. Among other things, it seems impossible to stream a 3D movie especially from VUDU. Sure, the picture looks great but that is to be expected from a respectable manufacturer such as Sony. In general, this TV is good but nowadays the bar is set rather high.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i feel that this is a good stuff.in corporating antroid +3d tv make it a good buy for this money.
but i heard that sony is exiting from tv industry around 2018 ,then what about the service of the tv ,make it clear for customers .Even though i am in a trouble that , i am searching for a led tv ,but i love sony picture quality but when i heard the exiting news i am also scared of the future service of the tv

Poor software

I purchased this TV on 6/15/15. Very frustrated with Android platform. There isn't Opera browser as specified. It is impossible to download any other browser from Play Store like Chore (even Android system). Limited apps! Playstation Now is nowhere to be found either. Good TV with very poor software.

Good TV but still buggy Android TV

I purchased this TV as soon as it came out. I love the design and image quality, but some small issues with Android TV OS are starting to get frustrating (Chromecast failing, tv volume changing even if Sound is set to 'fixed' in configuration, etc). I dont blame Sony though, and I am sure these issues will be solved in the next upgrade from Google. One SERIOUS problem that I am having with the TV is the Optical Cable turning on / off when the TV is in STANDBY. I can see the red light in the optical cable blinking ON/ OFF every few minutes. Since my Home Theater is connected through optical, it keeps turning on/off because it senses when there is signal being sent from the TV. This is extremely irritating, because my home theater does a small noise when switching on/off. Also, this will eventually reduce the life time of my home theater system. Any firmware to fix this issue Sony?

Excellent TV, Android TV is same as in NexusPlayer

Everything works as it should be, except 3D. My Active 3D glasses get never connected to the TV. I have called in Sony care and they are looking at it.
In this 4K TV market, this is the best of 1080p and you can say this is where a 1080p ends and 4K starts.
Sideloading android apps is fun on this.

A good buy

I was initially a little tentative on getting this. But since I have always liked sony over samsung I decided to get it. Nice packaging, very easy to assemble (took 5 mins) , Android is real smooth and nice. The clarity of screen is very nice. Haven't tested 3D technology yet. I preferred sony over samsung as these TV's have much lower lag time compared to samsung and being a gamer that is an important aspect. I tried playing few games and it was pretty smooth. A little disappointed with the mobile App that controls it and also it supports voice control but the remote is extra. Overall google and sony have done justice.
I would recommend this to a friend!
