The Gift That Doesn't Give Much

My wife got me this TV for Christmas. While I was excited to get a Smart TV for the bedroom, after a few minutes, I found the TV was not so smart after all. While it looks pretty and has a good picture, the sound is tinny and cannot be changed. Most of the sound features are grayed out and unavailable, along with the sound-effects features, too. The navigation is difficult via the remote and since it is mounted up on a wall, you can't plug in cables and usb drives easily without moving the TV. The remote has to be twisted and turned in your hand to get the IR signal to register, making typing a chore (due to the mount, a usb keyboard is out of the question).
The box shows a ton of apps, but the actual TV has maybe 30% of them and you can't access the app store (that I have been able to figure out anyway) to try and find apps that you can actually find useful. Then there is the software update (or lack thereof). I tried to update it manually, downloading the latest firmware and placing it on a usb drive and after contorting to reach the usb port, waited 2 minutes after turning on the TV and selecting update from the service menu. It didn't find an update (TV has version 1013, firmware from samsung is in the 1200s!). Now, I've been in the IT field since 1986 and have never been able to figure out how a piece of tech works...until this TV. Nothing intuitive and the manuals are more than useless. Location of the ports and manual buttons for off and on are horrendously placed making it difficult to access when mounted on the wall. Overall, I'd say, while it does work as a TV, it is anything but a smart TV.

Cons: more like a dumb tv, terrible sound, terrible navigation in smart hub, can't update firmware, no useful apps, poor placement of ports, poor placement of manual buttons, remote too narrow, too many buttons jammed on remote, can't access app store to get new apps on this tv

Excellent design for holding dishes! Quiet & fast!!!

We've only had the dishwasher for a few weeks, so I can't verify the durability of the machine, but I can say that it is doing excellent so far. I LOVE the bottom rack - we looked around for months trying to find one that would hold more plates as we have a big family. This one holds plenty! (If you have really deep plates, this one may not work for you; bring a couple of the plates to the store to try it out.) It is super quiet and gets everything very clean. We get that thing loaded to capacity and have no problems! The one feature we miss is being able to turn off the drying cycle. We are an energy-saving family and we air-dry our dishes, but you can't select a drying preference on this model. However, we just timed the wash and cancel the cycle at the end. No biggie! Overall, we love our new dishwasher & hope to have it around for quite awhile!!!
Pros: quiet, sleek design, stainless steel
Cons: no air-dry option

Very nice upgrade

I bought this as an upgrade to a 20 year old dishwasher that had rusting racks. This dishwasher surpasses all of my expectations. Its a big leap in technology from my old dishwasher. My dishes come out spotless every time I use it. I can barely hear it operating. I use the auto setting along with the sanitize option every time I use it. The dishes come out clean and dry, except for plastics which are a bit wet, but I just shake them off and put them on the drying rack. The dishwasher is so quiet when operating I can barely hear it, except when it drains into the sink, which is a little louder than my old dishwasher. I use the tablets with the red ball in the middle and they seem to work well, as well as a rinse aid. I've had it for a little over a month and haven't had a single problem with it yet. We plan on purchasing a matching black fridge and range in the future.
Pros: Inexpensive, very quiet, cleans the dishes very well, very sleek looking black finish, little musical notes when you push the buttons
Cons: none so far

beautiful picture but not too smart

The picture quality is beautiful, setup is easy, the layout of the menu and smart hub is decent. I do not like the apps. Very few apps that most people would even use. Only 1gb of memory and because of some disagreement with adobe i am unable to download flash player and therefore cannot watch any video content that uses flash. I wish i had known this before i purchased it.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, picutre is wonderful
Cons: Did not meet expectations, unable to watch video online, apps are horrible most apps i would never use

the slots for dishes a too close so the water doesn't go through to clean dishes that are stashed together.

Poor color

Out of the box the color is poor. Tried to get face and colors correct but have not been able to.

We have found our new Samsung Dishwasher to be a very good value. It is relatively inexpensive for the quality of workmanship and features it has. It works very well and is much quieter than we ever expected. We can sit at the kitchen table and have a conversation without distraction. You have to listen very hard and be very quiet just to hear it running from about 6 feet away. Fantastic product! We are very pleased and would recommend this dishwasher to anyone.
