Only 5 weeks

They say GE Products are the best, but every one we have bought in the last six years has been a problem. We should have listened to our gut. We bought this microwave and it only took 5 weeks to quit working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This model was installed in the new home we built....so happy they went with a GE product. The microwave has many different features and works great so far. We have the stainless and it looks fantastic in our new home. Very happy that they chose GE as their supplier.

Same Mounting Bracket Saved Me Time!

Love the "Soften" feature. My wife always cringed when I would try to soften the butter in our old Spacemaker 1800 XL (JVM1860SD-002). Lots of times I'd end up with a partial stick of butter and a partial pool of butter. The automated soften feature on this microwave works, though, and so we're both happy with it.
I have to admit, though, part of the reason we got another GE is because I was hoping not to have to mount another wall bracket. Instead, I was hoping the new microwave would mount on the old bracket and it does! That saved me a lot of work since our backsplash is ceramic tile which can be tricky to drill through. I was able to just toss out the bracket that came with this microwave.
If you mount this yourself, be sure to read the part of the instructions about putting small wooden blocks between this oven and the upper cabinet where the two main mounting bolts attach to the microwave. If you don't, you'll pull up on the microwave and bend the top a little bit. It'll still mount fine and runs fine, but it's something that should be done so you don't bend anything.

well I just purchased it like less than a month ago, but trust the GE brand so, I personally expect that this microwave gonna be the best, no problem so far...
