Worst Dryer Ever

i purchased this dryer new 4 years ago because i was done with all appliances breaking. well this has been the worst dryer ever. i have had nothing but problems. replaced the motor twice, heating element has gone out, won't spin on its own. i will never buy samsung again. they don't stand behind their product either.

when its working its great

well, i have had had a pair,washer and dryer! the washer a couple little problems like it wouldnt drain because a hose came off the drain,by itself.
but the dryer,had been down 5 times. 3 belts and 2
idler pulleys! luckily this last time it didnt break the belt, but i keep a spare anyway,because of past experiences. unfortunatly,i guess im going to have to keep a spare idler pulley as well, or just get a new dryer! the dryer works great when it runs!
just wish it would stay running! jimi

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

this is not a quality dryer. i bought my washer and dryer set 5 years ago, and have had to fix the heating element 4 times. samsung will not cover as it is out of warranty, and i have researched many people with this same issue who were told by samsung they cannot assist them either. samsung may be a big name with electronics but not with their washer and dryer sets. it cost me $250 every few months to fix this dryer, and it continues to happen over and over. i now have to scrap it and have an old used dryer until i can afford a new one again. this is super disheartening as i do not make a ton of money to be replacing such large expensive items. i will never ever buy samsung again. poor customer service, they are selling subprime products for an extreme price

I expected better

you cannot, like actually cannot shut off the very long, very loud, very annoying song that plays upon load completion. it plays a full 30 seconds. there is not a function like other models to disable it. dryer is besides that mediocre, performance could be suffering due to blocked ducting, will be cleaning that next week so hopefully these reviews can be updated. rating stands though, it's a really annoying dryer that gets the job done. wish i had taken my time and chose differently.

Horrible Dryer

purchased the dyer 4 years ago, last year the heating element went out.
the heating element went out again in less than a year.
contacted samsung they recommended a service tech at my expense. i told them no i will write a horrible but true review!

Stay Away from Samsung Appliances

samsung makes a great tv. samsung makes a great phone. samsung appliances are garbage. i've now had a samsung fridge, washer, and dryer, and all have had issues. this review is, of course, about the dryer.
a few years after purchasing my dryer it stopped heating. $300 later, it had a new heating element. since that time the lint trap device has broken... and now, just a couple of years after the heating element was replaced... no heat again! i'm going to have to weigh replacing the heating element and just purchasing a dryer that works.
do not buy samsung appliances. their warranty will get you until just before it breaks.

Worst dryer I have ever owned

we bought this dryer early in 2020. today, just a bit over one year of ownership it no longer heats. i suspect the heating element has failed. this dryer was purchased along with a washer so it is part of a matched set. i am reluctant to have it repaired due to it's failure so soon after purchasing it. i am aware modern appliances are nowhere near as long lived as older appliances made decades ago but failing just over one year is woefully unacceptable. we have also had issues with our samsung refrigerator which is not that old either. so far samsung has not impressed me and i have written off the brand for future appliance purchases.

Two years is too short!

less than three years in and it suddenly went belly up. the drum will not stop rotating unless the door is opened. any time the door is closed, the drum is spinning, whether the power button is on or not. and no matter what settings are selected, there is no longer any heat. it spins when it shouldn't and doesn't dry when it should. this was too expensive an item for it to last only a couple of years. i expect more from samsung.
