DO NOT BUY - ICE MAKER SHOULD BE RECALLED

i purchased this samsung fridge and what a mistake! the ice maker has broken twice and been repaired within the first year. now, i'm out of warranty and guess what? the ice maker is now broken again!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Fridge

I recently put in all of my kitchen appliances and was a little leery as the reviews were horrible on this fridge that matched the rest of the set. I've had the set for about a month now and everything is great couldn't be happier with the fridge or the rest of my set!
Pros: Inexpensive

lighting and everything of this unit is excellent.
Spacing inside main area and the Freezer is excellent.

New fridge, ice maker consistently unreliable

bought a new house with all samsung appliances. ice maker froze up 4 months in, defrosted it, then found out it freezes up every 2 months. i use the defrost feature of the fridge yet the problem continues to plague the fridge. this fridge was not cheap, sad that something simple like ice cannot be trusted to work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Refrigerator Meet all Expectations...and More

We purchased this French Door refrigerator to replace a side-by-side. We like the bottom freezer and the Cool-Select Pantry is versatile and ideal for a wide range of food-service needs. The refrigerator and the freezer are well lit and the ice maker and water dispenser work well without dripping or jamming.
Only one small downside is we can hear the refrigerator compressor turn on and then while it is running emits a low hum. The sound is not annoying or intrusive, just something we never expected. I insured that the device was level and installed correctly to no avail. It must be a very powerful compressor!
