Poor quality refigerator

It has issues cooling and has not lived up to the price tag. I would advise against purchasing this refrigerator.

Dead at 4 Years

Died at exactly 4 years. Barely cooling any more. I've never had a refrigerator give out this quickly. We love the features but extremely disappointed in the durability. We've scheduled a service appointment and will see how that goes.

I’ll never buy Samsung appliances again!

We’ve had our refrigerator for four years now, and it has the worst ice maker I’ve ever seen. It constantly freezes up, and when it does work, it doesn’t produce enough ice because the basket is so small. On top of that, it takes forever to make more ice. Now, the ice dispenser has started constantly trying to dispense ice on its own, which requires replacing the control board. But here’s the kicker: we can’t even find the part, despite having the model number and matching it to the parts listed on Samsung’s website. The only thing I like about this refrigerator is the ability to set the right lower door to function at whatever temperature I need. I’m sure I can get that feature in another brand, though. I’ll never buy Samsung appliances again - this includes their washers and dryers too.

Just Terrible!!! Do not buy!

I've had my ice maker "fixed" at least three times in the less than seven years I've owned it. There might have been more repairs, but it's hard to keep track since one repair took over four visits to resolve. Now, the freezer has stopped working, and I've lost all the food inside. Diagnosing the problem has proven difficult, and I've already paid for a repairman to come out, but I'm unsure how much more this will cost. At this point, I may need to purchase a new fridge. It won't be a Samsung.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Gorgeous refrigerator with great features. BUT, ice maker is rubbish. Had repair out twice. Independent repair man said ice maker a lemon across the model. If you don’t use ice, it might would be great for you. If you use ice daily, as I do, it isn’t worth a fraction of its price. horribly disappointing. We completely replaced ice maker once, it broke, like the first one in a couple months.

Great design, nice features, terrible sounds!

I waited to buy this refrigerator. It originally was not available in counter depth. When I discovered that it was in April 2016, I immediately purchased it. I don't have a great need for a large freezer, so the flex option to extend the refrigeration space was the key selling point, along with the ample shelf space it provides.
However, I have one of the models that constantly gurgles and bubbles. Not just a little, but most of the time! It is down right annoying as my family room adjoins my kitchen which makes it impossible to escape the gurgling and bubbling sounds. It literally sounds like I have an aquarium in my kitchen. Yes, the manual says that some sounds are normal, REALLY!! I have a friend who has the same refrigerator without the same problem. I've read countless reviews about consumers who own the same refrigerator with most being happy with their purchase but enough who have, "The Sound Problem" like I do, to ask the question of Samsung, "Why hasn't the problem been solved. It my be that only 1 in 10 have the gurgling/bubbling problem, but aren't all purchaser's of this product entitled to the same quality product?!
Cons: too noisy!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best refrigerator for the value!

Beautiful refrigerator the handles on it make it fingerless. Bottom left compartment is for freezer and thats perfect for me since I dont like much of my food frozen anyways. I think it is perfect for first time homebuyers.
Love the way the refrigerator looks in our kitchen. Four-door flex feature makes it an efficient way to get foods out of the frig. Wish the veg/fruit bins would be bigger. The fingerprint proof coating on the door is an added bonus. Bubbling sound coming from the refrigerator ir normal but undesirable and this is due to refrigerant circulating through the frig.
