OK overall design, poorly designed ice maker

our ice maker keeps freezing up and stops making ice. this seems to be a common problem with this refrigerator. i wish i had seen these reviews before my purchase

Ice maker design is flawed

ice maker freezes up all of the time. it is wasted space in the fridge. so sad because the 4 door design is great.

A big lemon...would not recommend to anyone

i bought a rf23j9011sg/aa for less than 4 years. first problem starting last year, ice maker frost up. manually de-ice every 2, 3 weeks. second problem the freezer stopped working. i am very disappointed for a beautiful machine and brand name of samsung

Leaks and ice maker is terrible

the ice maker does not make ice but instead drips down to the bottom of the fridge where is freezes and creates mold and a very large sheet of moldy ice. it will even drip down to the sides of the freezers and make ice sickles in the freezer doors.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We took delivery of our new refrigerator about a month ago and so far, we are completely satisfied. the flexibility to have more freezer space when you need it is great and the flexibility of the interior shelves gives you a lot of options. I would recomond it to anyone.

Additional Accessories Needed

Hello Samsung - Are You Listening? This refrigerator is a great style, and really like the counter depth. Regarding the flex door - what a great idea. However, to make it more functional for use as a beverage center, it needs some additional accessories, like a multi can holder, or wine rack insert. The drawers and pull out top shelf don't work well for beverages, and the door doesn't hold much. Is there anything available or is there any other accessories coming in the future?
It would also be useful to use it as actual refrigerator temp, if that would be available in the future. The 41 degrees is too warm for regular refrigerator items. If I remember correctly, the next temperature setting is around 30?
There is a gurgling noise when the unit cycles off and on, and am going to call for service, to see if that can be quieted. Four star performance rating because of this noise.
There is no butter dish included???
I think the first two items above would bring it to five stars across the board, for sure. Excellent product.

This refrigerator is Beautiful

This new refrigerator replaced a Whirlpool that only lasted 9 years. This 4 door flex is beautiful. I got the black Stainless steel and looks so nice. I love the flexibility of the shelves. There is so much room . The lights inside are very bright and the it is very quiet. I love that is has an alarm so you know if the door did not shut. I really cannot say enough good things. I do hope it will last for many years.

I have owned this unit for about 4 months now and have been disappointed with a few of its features. The ice storage is small and slow to replenish. The ice dispenser on the door is slow to fill the cup and the water coming out of the dispenser is sometimes not cold. Items in the door (where the milk goes) is not as cold as the rest of the unit and is a disappointment when you are expecting cold milk! The doors open out beyond the sides of the unit, this can be a problem if you have a cabinet that sticks out next to it. Due to the door handle design the doors can be hard to open.
Cons: ice maker small, items in door not cold
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
