Ice Maker malfunctions

I've owned this Samsung refrigerator for almost two years now. All in all I've been satisfied with the operation of the refrigerator and I definitely like the look. However, about 7 months ago I began experiencing issues with the ice maker freezing up and not producing ice. From research on the web, this appears to be a common issue with this refrigerator that the manufacturer is aware of and has not fixed the problem. This problem also occurs after the warranty expires so the consumer has to pay for the repair(s).
I would NOT recommend this product to anyone.
Cons: Poor quality

Ice maker doesn't work properly

We've had our refrigerator for approximately 15 months now and although I really like the design and flexibility with the FlexZone feature the ice maker has never worked properly; it freezes up. We did have a serviceman come out and replace the ice maker once but it's happening again and now the water leaks. I am very disappointed and feel like this should not be happening. I have seen many reviews with this same complaint. I think Samsung should be addressing this issue.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations

Lousy Ice Maker

If we are lucky we get 3 or 4 dumps of ice a day. We had to have it worked on before the warranty was out and they repairman said they don't seal them well since they are in the refrigeration part. Now when you open the door it usually drips water. We hate this thing. We use a lot of ice and this doesn't work for us.

Good concept for a refrigerator.
The ice maker function has serious flaws. It freezes up & quits making ice. This requires that the unit is turned off, the bin pulled out & all the ice thawed out with a hair dryer. Not good!

As long as your product do not need to be serviced you are good. But if something does not go well and you need help good luck getting a service provider to diagnose and help you. You are looking for countless hours of aggravation. This will be my last Samsung product I have ever purchased...

1 year, icemaker freezes up and does not produce ice. 2 years later it is almost monthly that ice maker freezes up! stops making ice.

Owned a full year - 2 painful flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] smudge proof? i've had stainless before with no issues, but i'm constantly cleaning this one. ice maker leaks and freezes/jams often. tech told me i had to empty/thaw/clean monthly to avoid this.
