Bad Ice Maker/Dispenser

I bought this fridge in May 2018. Don't get me wrong, it looks cool, the flexzone is a great feature, but I've had countless issues with the ice dispenser. Ice accumulates around the ice maker. In September I thawed out the ice maker with a hair dryer. It worked for a few months, but I am back in the same predicament 3 months later. For as much as this fridge is, this is ridiculous.

Poor Ice; Odd spaces

Purchased 3 months ago. Ice needs to be reset almost every day. Do like the easy and separate ice and water dispenser system - great design there. Pay particular attention to the set up of the four compartments and imagine how you would fit your standard items in them. Find it doesnt hold much with too much space taken with the four doors. Determined I prefer freezer that pulls out for much better access.

Noise producing Refrigerator

We bought this refrigerator about 2 years ago along with a matching stove and dishwasher as part of a kitchen upgrade. This refrigerator was reported to be counter depth. NO IT ISN'T!! Not our counters anyway. It sticks out 6" past our counter. The thing is Loud! It gurgles and makes more noise than a fish tank. I am glad the dishwasher is quiet as a mouse because the refrigerator is way too loud. It keeps things nice and cool and it does have plenty of room inside but the icemaker is the worst part of it. It sits in the upper left hand corner of the refrigerated part and ever 2 weeks will ice over and get clogged up. The ice maker gets frozen up. Let me say that again...the..ice...maker..freezes up. It's stupid. I come in from outside to get a glass of ICE/water and no ice. Because it's frozen up. If there is a setting I could make to keep this from happening, I would make it. (other than unplugging the refrigerator and sending it back but it's too late for that) As luck would have it, my sister-in-law has the exact same problem and loves her fridge but hates the icemaker. We got rid of an old GE side by side with water and ice in the door. Never had a single issue with it. This thing cost 3 times as much and is 5 times more frustrating. SAMSUNG, get this figured out. Perhaps you need better insulation in the walls of the icemaker or something but this will never be my favorite product of yours. I'll get some photos of the frozen icemaker in 2 weeks and add them to this review.

Ice Machine is MAJOR PROBLEM!!!!

We bought this refrigerator in 2017 and have had nothing but problems with the ice machine. It ice's up and shuts down on a regular basis. We have replaced the ice maker twice and finally gave up. We defrost the ice maker twice a month. We understand there is a class-action lawsuit against Samsung and we are trying to find out how to join. Everyone we know that has this refrigerator has this problem. DON'T BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR!!!!

Ice maker constantly freezes over

Nice Fridge but the ice maker freeze up and jams at least 1 per week and stops making ice. You have to remove the ice cube box, which is very hard to do, then clear the ice cube jam with a knife. That's a very bad design. Samsung certainly can do better.

not as quiet as preferred. doors prohibit easy removal of ice maker. water in the door will not allow a gallon jug. black stainless is nice. optional freezer and bright lighting are a plus.

ice make freezes up. no one can fix. do not buy.
do you homework there is a class action suit against samsun. i have to get my blow dryer out and melt everything every 2 weeks in order to have ice.
