Repeated Ice maker Failure

as much as i may like the styling and design of this refrigerator, it gets 1 star from me. in houston, texas, having ice is important in this mostly hot climate. the ice maker has been defective since day one; although this is a known issue, it has still not been properly fixed. it simply does not work without constant manual defrosting of the ice maker. constantly a dam of ice from day 1.

Yeah, that ice maker is a deal breaker

like many other reviews, the ice maker in this unit (and others evidently) fails consistently and ruins what otherwise is a promising design. not worth the headache one bit.

SAMSUNG ICE MAKER BROKEN AGAIN

we've had the frozen ice maker issue since day one of owning this samsung refrigerator. it has frozen up since we've started using it. we purchase the extended warranty and the warranty company has come out three times to replace the ice maker. each time this did not fix the issue. samsung has zero answers for the issue. i gave up on samsung. still have the refrigerator but we have to use ice trays. what a joke. it's also part of a class action lawsuit now. samsung should be ashamed. do yourself a favor and select a different brand.

Worst Ice Maker in the industry

less than 3 months, we started having issues with the amount of ice being made. ice was getting stuck on the way out of the tray. dripping water out of the tray began creating an ice build up on the bottom of the ice machine. ice would form all the way up to the ice tray and prevent anymore ice from dropping into the dispenser.went back to lowe's, the salesman told me that samsung and lowe's both know about the defective ice maker but they continue to sell them without telling their customers about the known issue. want my money back!

The ice machind

my last refrigerator lasted me many years. i got this refrigerator 2.5 years ago and tge ice machine freezes up, like maby have talked about here, why would samsung not fix this? it seems to be a design flaw. it is not an inexpensive fridge. the other issue is the finger prints! its says smudge resistant but sheesh, ive hecer gad a refridgerator that smudges more! im very disappointed with my purchase.

Worst ice maker ever

i have worked for builders, and bought many fridges. none of them have lasted lesa than 3 years where you have to do a weekly empty of the ice, take a knofe to chop the ice buildup behind the ice box, in order to get new ice to drop and out the ice box back in. of course warranty wont cover and for the proce of this fridge, and the number of issues everyone has, it should be a recall or replacement for free. you shouldnt have to have weekly work on it to just get it to slightly work for another week. so not buy, no matter what. its not qorth it and there are plenty of other manufacturers out there.
