Ice Maker is JUNK

from the first month the ice maker started freezing up! repairman came out and said it was a bad design but replaced some parts. this did not resolve the issue. now we have had to pull ice maker out and clean frozen ice off of bottom unit every week to keep it going. it also doesn't drop the ice cubes that are in the dispenser and water drips int the frig continually. great looking but not worth a penny for its performance!!!

Don't buy!

if you look up this refrigerator on line you will notice all the complaints about the ice maker freezing up. i am now on ice maker #2 and it is freezing up again!!! my first one went out right outside my warranty so it wasn't covered. then when i purchased the part for the second time i noticed all the complaints and horrible reviews about the ice make freezing up. so now i will be on ice maker #3. if you buy this, get the extended warranty and make sure the ice maker is covered!

ice maker is a complete disaster on an otherwise good refrigerator. freezes up every month or so and now can no longer remove it in order to clear the ice

Terrible ice maker

not worth the price. owned this for five years now, and from day one the ice maker was trash. the volume is insufficient, and not much difference between "cube" and "crushed". two years ago, it started constantly freezing over and the motor started to fail (very noisy). attempting to fix it seemed more trouble than the end result was worth. dismantled and went back to icecube trays.
the fridge is fine. it is constructed in a way though, that makes it impossible to clean. the crisper drawers are constructed of overlapping plastic pieces that trap every stray cilantro leaf for the rest of your life. gross looking. i wouldn't buy this item again.

Lousy icemaker, AVOID!

this would be a wonderful refrigerator if it wasn't for the lousy icemaker. has failed 3 times, the first time being within months of purchase. now on the 3rd icemaker, has failed again. have to buy bags of ice. i will not purchase this refrigerator again. samsung, you have obviously known about the problems with this icemaker, why don't you do something about it?!

ICEMAKER FLAP MAKES NONSTOP INCREDIBLY LOUD NOISES

CAN'T GET WARRANTY SERVICE.
Luckily, on day 4 the refrigerator broke just a little bit more, dropping it about 20 decibels. The ice maker is still broke, but we don't have to retreat to the far corners of the house. I added a video of what we are going through while waiting for repair.

Been a decent product

been a decent product. quiet, maintains temperture well, good capacity and shelf system. water and ice delivery system could be better. did have a major issue with ice maker freezing up. could not open unit or get ice out. had to get a system upgrade.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor Ice Machine design

i really love this refrigerator but hate the ice machine. the interior of the refrigerator gives me lots of storage options. the freezer has amazing storage with how it is laid out.
but like most folks i'm having constant issues with the ice machine. it forces me to move all my food to coolers, shut off the machine and open the doors to allow the ice maker to unfreeze. it use to only happen every 6 months but this summer it's been constant. i just did it a few weeks ago and now the water line appears frozen and i'll have to do it again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
