+1 on Worst Refrigerator Ever

as others have said, the ice maker freezes up every 3 months or so... we've had it repaired / replaced several times to no avail. the only thing that has worked for us is (1) removing the ice maker basket by pulling it straight out, (2) putting towels in the bottom of the ice maker, (3) using a spray bottle of hot water to melt the ice inside the ice maker and (4) dry it all off and reassemble.
in the last week, two new problems! the ice maker is now frozen so solidly that i can't even remove the basket (so it's now totally unusable). and this morning i opened the right hand upper door and the door literally fell off onto my shoulder! the metal hinge at the top of the door literally broke apart (see photos).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bad Icemaker

we are on our 2nd icemaker replacement on this 4.5 year old refrigerator. the first one was about 1.5 years ago. add to that that we have had to wait 2 months for service with our extended warranty this time for our 3rd icemaker while the icemaker freezes over into a clump and then leaks into the refrigerator compartment, and you can bet we are very unhappy. this, along with our crappy samsung washer and dryer means we will never, and i mean never, buy another samsung appliance. they should have stuck with tvs. live and learn. the only reason for two stars and not one is for the flex design and overall refrigerator design and performance. the icemaker experience ruins the whole product experience.

Ice Maker Issues

the ice maker does not work right. it leaks water, freezes over, takes forever to dispense any ice if there is any to dispense...
apparently this is a common problem. samsung should replace the defective parts. my fridge is apparently out of warranty (1 year) for the ice maker. so i am left with fixing the issue myself.

Do not buy, do your due diligence and research

too late for me, but not for you. please do your due diligence and research "icemaker and fingerprint resistant finish failure". multiple models are plagued with these issues. there are several documented complaints regarding these problems. this refrigerator is one of the most disappointing purchases i have ever made. my ice maker constantly freezes up and quits making ice. the problem started about six months from the date of purchase. additionally, the finish applied over the stainless steel started flaking off. i only use a damp microfiber cloth on the doors, never any chemical cleaners.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Do not use abrasive or harsh cleansers such as window sprays, scouring cleaners, flammable fluids, muriatic acid, cleaning waxes, concentrated detergents, bleaches, or petroleum cleansers on exterior surfaces (doors and cabinet), plastic parts, door, and interior liners, and gaskets. These can scratch or damage the material.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I waited 6 months for a black stainless model and another 3 months for delivery. I love this fridge. Kind of wish I'd waited for bespoke (hidden water/ice) but I've been quite happy. Having counter depth makes my kitchen seem larger, sliding shelves in freezer is great. Less door space than most because of ice/water. FYI make sure you measure height-very tall.
I would recommend this to a friend!

One of our priorities is getting the best value for your money, JFS68.

For the ice maker to operate properly, a water pressure of 20 ~ 125 psi is required. If the refrigerator is installed in an area with low water pressure (below 20 psi), you can install a booster pump to compensate for the low pressure.
