Ice maker is worthless-

I’ve had this fridge for 5 years and have had to replace the ice maker- both components 5 times- and it’s broken again.. dripping water, hate this fridge

There is nothing good about this refrigerator. Samsung service is also lackluster. Spent nearly $5000 on this refrigerator a couple years ago and had a problem with the icemaker ever since. I have been calling in Samsung to fix every other month and every time they say it’s done it isn’t and now they say I’m out of my warranty to fix the problem I’ve been having issues with. Not only does it freeze up and not make ice the water always drips having to dry the drip tray out every couple days. The ice basket inside the refrigerator always has ice melting out of it and causes mold around the gasket inside by the icemaker and the refrigerator has a hard time keeping temperature. Excuse the run-on sentences speech to text.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'll never buy another Samsung product. The ice maker on this thing is a nightmare. Freezes up constantly despite a recall. Also the bottom left freezer door doesn't always stay closed, ruining frozen items. Never again.

A correctly "leveled" refrigerator is not level from front to back. Samsung refrigerators are designed to tilt back slightly, which helps the doors to close by themselves and helps with draining. Poorly Designed Ice Maker

We have a lot of Samsung appliances items like washer, dryer, cooktop, and this refrigerator. We have had the refrigerator for ~8 years and have had Samsung repair people come to fix the ice maker about once ever 1.5 years for a total of 5 visits so far. We are about to put in our 6th service request for the same issue. One of the last service techs said it is a faulty design and is prone to ice maker problems. The only saving grace is that Samsung has been covering all the repair costs even though it is out of warranty (I think it is because this is a common/known problem). Since almost all the ice maker parts of have been replaced already and the ice box has been "sealed" several times and the ice maker is STILL breaking, we have resigned ourselves to living with this issue until the refrigerator dies. We wish, at this point, Samsung would offer some kind of replacement or something.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

“Attractive Design, Poor Durability”

I bought my Samsung refrigerator in June 2019, and just one month ago it completely stopped cooling. I contacted Samsung support, and after unsuccessful troubleshooting via text, they issued a service ticket. Since my warranty had expired, I was asked to pay $134.95 upfront before they would send a technician. I paid, and when the technician came, he said the compressor needed to be replaced. The repair estimate was $1,084 — minus the $134.95 deposit — leaving me with a cost of $949.53.
The warranty only covered the price of the compressor itself, not the labor or additional costs. I feel misled by the product’s sleek look and design, which hid the fact that it would fail so soon. My previous American-made refrigerator lasted over 30 years without major issues, and I regret replacing it with this one.
I do not recommend buying a Samsung refrigerator. Once bitten, twice shy!

Samsung 4-door flex refrigerator
