Owned less than 2 yrs ice maker doesn't work

Ice maker quit working after we changed the filter for first time (about 6 months). Followed directions and within 3 wks ice built up so bad maker stopped working now every other week I9 have to defrost and chip away the ice in the back. Expensive fridge to have stopped working. Will never buy another Samsung product.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality, ice maker quit working

This is by far a beautiful looking refrigerator. Upon arrival it looked like Christmas morning but, after a few months the unit failed. The ice maker stop working and then the refrigerator wouldn’t get cold, the fan started making this loud noise and as a result a lots of ours food had to be thrown out because it had spoiled. I’m really disappointed with this Samsung refrigerators. I will never buy another one again.

Do a search and you will find this is a common problem that countless tech visits will NOT fix. Ice maker freezes up and water drips into ice bin and out ice chute.

This is the worst refrigerator I have ever owned. The ice maker doesn't work. When you brush past the refrigerator it leaves scratches and marks. For the price I am so disappointed. I would never buy a Samsung product.

This refrigerator is junk!

My refrigerator was manufactured in September 2015. Here we are in February 2019, and here is the list of repairs. Ice maker not working (class action lawsuit there), freezer handle broken two times, refrigerator fan broken, and now it is leaking coolant due to the poor quality aluminum based coils. Do not buy!!!

After having the refrigerator one year it started to make a loud fan noise inside and after that stopped cooling .

Six months in and I'm very pleased with my purchase

I did a lot of research on purchasing a new refrigerator for my kitchen makeover. I went to many stores to see what I did like and what I didn't like. I had almost decided against this model because of a few review sites that had negative comments about how noisy this refrigerator is. My choice was going to be a different refrigerator but when I looked at the completing model I did not like it's freezer drawer. The other model's freezer drawer is difficult to open and the floating tray must be pulled out after the drawer is completely open. For my disabled wife this was a deal breaker so I took the chance on the Samsung. The Samsung drawer handle pulls up slightly to release the drawer and when the drawer is about 3/4 open the floating tray has a catch that slides it out toward you.
Through the door ice dispenser has cubed or crushed ice. Water dispenser is angled back into the door cavity so there is no squirting water onto the floor. Water and ice share the same trigger. Speaking of ice makers there is one in the door and one in the freezer drawer. Two completely separate ice makers! You won't run out of ice. LED lighting is bright and illuminates evenly to every corner of refrigerator and freezer. Water filter is located between the crisper trays and is easily removed by a twist and pull from the front of the open refrigerator. The deli tray has three settings for cooling independent of the refrigerator. Controls and readouts are on the outside doors. The door ajar alarm has save me a couple of times when I did not close the door completely.
Now about the noise. There is little to none. I can't recall EVER hearing more than a whisper from the compressor running and you have to be in the kitchen next to it to hear it. I do hear an occasional muffled "ka-lump" sound of ice dropping out of the upper ice maker. It certainly isn't an ice bucket challenge crashing sound and is less than 1/2 second in duration.
The other reservation I had was this refrigerator's ice maker would freeze up in the door. Never had this happen. I suspect maybe other users have run the refrigerator temperature way down below the recommended 37 degrees F.
The one drawback is there is very little storage space in the door where the exterior water/ice dispenser is located. In looking at other models I found this is true of all through the door models.
A plus is the inverter compressor which can modulate the compressor to match the cooling demand and save on energy usage.
I would buy this again without any concerns. It is a modern refrigerator with many convenient features.

Great Refrigerator

Purchased this refrigerator less than a month ago. Was recommended by the appliance salesman who is also a trusted family friend. So far it has been a dream. Programming and features easy to understand and operate. Very spacious and can customize shelving to fit storage needs. Quick chill and Quick freeze options are nice! Filtered water tastes clean. Cubed or crushed ice works great. And you cannot hear it running late at night,,, it is Quiet!
