DO NOT purchase a Samsung Refrigrator!

They finally exchanged my refrigerator (RFG297HDRS French Door 29 cu ft) I purchased in late November 2013, with this refrigerator last week.
The reason I received the exchange was because it was SO loud! I accepted this refrigerator that was smaller, and not as nice; but it was the newer model. This model is LOUDER… then the last one. I do not understand how my Samsung dish washer is so quite, but they cannot make a refrigerator that is quiet… For the price you pay, you would think it would be a good quality product from day one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Revived possibilities

This refrigerator has special meaning due to the relief for my disabled husband's pain! Having the freezer on the bottom has allowed us to revive our life cooking.....we compared and found the Samsung met all our dreams and the features we wanted plus great reviews! I agree and am very happy with this product and the service at the store and delivery. Thanks to all of the people who helped us.

LOVE this FRIDGE!!

I have had this refrigerator for about 2 months. I switched from a side-by-side. I LOVE IT!! the design of the upper section is great - and allows access to either of the two smaller drawers without opening the doors really wide. That was the key selling point for me. The refrigerator works great and quietly for sure! All I hear is the ice occasionally dropping. The freezer section is awesome. I have so much space and it freezes hard.
the water dispenser is powerful - so you do have to be careful. but the water is nicely chilled and filtered. The ice cubes are smaller than my last fridge but we have not really had any issues.
it would be nice to have some sort of container that fit into the top drawer of the freezer. it looks like it is designed for one but nothing is available.
Pros: Bright display, quiet operation, cooling ability, design of doors so you can open smaller drawers
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just received our new Samsung refrigerator this past week. Love the features and the wife can't get
the smile off her face. Has so much capacity and it is so easy to access interior products. The bottom freezer is convenient and holds much more than our previous refrigerator, My son bought this same model three (3) years ago, and it has been trouble-free.

Nice Refrigerator

Chose this refrigerator because we got a awesome deal and rated high on CR.
There is obviously a lot of space, but not much room for tall items, milk, juice, dressings etc. We ended up laying somethings down.
The only complaint I have so far is sometimes when the fan starts up it is loud. When it is quite in the house you can definitely tell it is running.

Ice Maker slings ice chips before dispensing cubes

The ice maker is very annoying. When the ice maker is set for cubes and you press the lever to dispense ice small chips of ice fly all over my wood floors. The cube setting starts off crushing ice before the cubes get dispensed. We do not use the crushed ice setting because the about 1/4 of the chips never make it into the cup or even a bowl. Really ruins all the great aspects of the refrigerator since the only way to get ice is through the door.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, keeps food fresh
Cons: ice maker crushes ice on cube setting
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
