Bad Installation

On 10/2/18 I had this refrigerator delivered after ordering it on 9/5/18. The refrigerator Water and Ice does not work, The refrigerator is set to 38, but the actual temp is 58, and the lights in the refrig are not working. Very disappointing when I waited for a month to receive this refrigerator. Obviously, there is an installation problem and it will take three more days to have someone come out to do an "installation check". Shouldn't that have been done when delivered?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Refrigerator was not even a year old and the ice maker does not work properly. Some times it makes ice and some times it does not. Had to buy an ice maker for the side because we could not rely on this brand new refrigerator.

18 months in. Overall the fridge is great, but we have started to experience issues with the ice maker we has caused issues to freezer below. Not what you would expect with such a new product

Very nice and quiet

This is a great refrigerator freezer with one exception. There needs to be an open ice bucket that is removeable so you can dump iceinto a cooler our counter top ice bucket.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Won't make ice / manual defrost every 6 months

Ice maker and rear of refrigerator freeze up every six months and need unloaded and unplugged for 24 hours every six months. You heard it right...SAMSUNG has offered this as the sole solution for this unit since 2014 WITHOUT providing an actual fix. Do a few google searches before buying this unit. We are attempting to have a lawyer take this on as a civil suite since there are thousands of us. Also note: I purchased all kitchen and laundry appliances. My Samsung washer needed its first repair at 6 months and a 2nd at 24 months. My Samsung Dishwasher doesn’t clean well (I pre-wash everything) and leaves dishes soaking wet (I turn cups, mugs etc on their side to drip dry, then unload 30 minutes later)

Terrible Ice Maker & Won't De-ice

The fridge constantly freezes over in the ice maker and will not produce ice. The back of the fridge needs constant de-icing about once a month. Will NOT produce the advertised amount of ice, no where near 10lbs a day!

Great Fridge, Terrible Ice Maker

We’ve had this refrigerator for nearly two years now. We love the storage space, the versatility in adjusting shelves and drawers, the door-in-door, and the water and ice through the door. The downside is the ice maker. We use it daily, but the ice gets jammed up before it falls into the bin and we have to break it up at least once every two weeks. Of course, the ice maker started failing when we were just out of warranty.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do you really have to turn off the water

Do you really have to turn off the water to change out the water filter? With my old Samsung, very similar to this one, the filter was in the back top shelf and just twist it out and twist in the new one. A few drips on the shelf but didn't have to pull the whole thing out from the wall to turn off the water.
