I don't know yet, have only had it for 3 days. But the ice and water dispenser doesn't work and a service guy is suppose to come and fix it, but have no idea when that will be yet.
Pros: Bright display
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have had French door refrigerators before, although not the lower freezer aspect. Now after 6 months we have gotten very use to this. The spaciousness of the refrigerator is very nice. Our ONLY complaint is that the NOISYNESS of the compressor is concerning. Other reviews mentioned this, and some speck of the severity of the noise. Ours seem to be not what I would call severe, but annoying. I read another review that said "I'm just worried what it will sound like in 5 to 10 years".
These are also my thoughts.
I am an older consumer, that is frustrated with all manufacturers producing these higher priced appliances, that on average MAY LAST 10 years. I remember when most appliances could last 20-30. In my opinion there as been a high level of collusion.

This refrigerator runs almost silently---no motor noise to speak of. The inside lighting is excellent.

This is doing good, but its suddenly makes sounds like stones thrown on the road.
I did not expect this kind of product from Samsung. But the design is good.

We purchased all new samsung kitchen appliances and we could not be happier! The refridgerator has so much room and the wine drawer is an even more amazing feature!
