Ice Maker

Quite unhappy with icemaker - for the cost of this thing, the ice maker should not be such a problem. Makes ice, for while, then quits. Had warranty service twice - now need to call again. Poor design. My suggestion - purchase an appliance with the ice maker in the freezer compartment of the frig (like a side-by-side), not in the frig portion. Placing the ice maker in the frig portion allows for ice distributor on the door, but requires a special compressor to freeze water in the frig unit. We have to freeze ice trays to have ice in the house.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ice Maker

Ice Maker constantly freezes and has never worked what I would consider satisfactory.The refriderator is beautiful and I really like the space but this ice maker issue has been a mess.We've had it replaced before the warranty went out and as soon as the warranty ran out it broke AGAIN.
Cons: Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product has a major flaw

I purchased this product in 2014 and it worked well until this year. About 3 months ago, I noticed a rubbing noise coming from back of fridge. I pulled everything out of fridge and removed back panel. Large amount of ice buildup causing fan to hit the ice was the noise I was hearing. Melted ice with hairdryer and put everything back. I can deal with this if it happens every 3 1/2 years. WRONG!! A month later ice had built back up again. Pulled everything out and melted ice again. A month later, ice built up again. I researched this problem and it appears to be a common problem with Samsung french door refrigerators. Most people comment that repairmen are not able to fix problem. In fact, there is a class action lawsuit against Samsung because of these defective refrigerators. I will never buy Samsung again. Very disappointed.

FlexZone good/Ice bad

We have had this refrigerator for 3 years. We bought it when building a new house.
I like FlexZone which we use for cheesed and meat, so we keep it cold. The ice maker isn't very good. We get crushed ice even when asking for cubed. It jambs and is difficult to remove the ice tray. We just had to defrost the Twin Cooling fans because they iced up. It was a major production, involving removing all the food and shelves. My husband had to use a bad amatur video on how to get the bottom shelf out. I could not have done it myself. We are in our early 60s and this is not the refrigerator for our future. I liked it when we bought it because the handles where easy on my arthritic hands. That was a bad thing to base it on.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great but needs some attention to detail

We bought this refrigerator 1 3/4 years ago. There is always always always room for everything. It's spacious and I can always find room. But you can't remove the utility drawers without removing the shelves on the door, so you clean them in place. Okay, adjust my cleaning. Make sure the wonderful drawer above the freezer is closed well; ours sometimes doesn't. Okay, check on the drawer. Now, our ice cube maker seems to freeze over from time to time. Can't get ice cubes, and have to take a hair dryer to it to unfreeze the mechanism. There must be an air leak somewhere. Okay, periodically unfreeze the ice cube maker. Other than that, it's a great refrigerator.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wouldn't chill below 42 degrees most of the time

This fridge had service seven times in less than six months, each time replacing parts, it ran between 42-45 degrees much of the time (temperature of water in a glass, various locations in fridge). The ice maker would drip and freeze up in a large mass in the back of the ice machine. The temperatures throughout the unit would vary greatly. They replaced the ice maker, the fan, and many, many other parts. Eventually, we replaced the whole unit with another brand.
Each time they come to repair, I would have to completely empty fridge, often needed to throw away food that could have gone bad by being over 40 degrees, the process was tedious and frustrating! I've never been more frustrated with an appliance!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor design

I have had this refrigerator for about10 months. I love the freezer and the middle drawer. I Refrigerator part is very poorly designed. There is only 1 shelf on door that will handle quarts and half gallons on the right side. Only the left side the door shelfs are useless because the won't hold anything worthwhile because of the icemaker. Very poor design.

We absolutely LOVE this refrigerator!!! After years of owning a side-by-side which was so difficult for us to find anything without moving every item in front, we selected this wonderful addition to our kitchen! Not only does it look beautiful, it performs above and beyond our expectations. We are able to organize each section so that we can find exactly what we need in a moment and the dual temperature controls are excellent. We noticed that our produce lasts much longer than previously.
