Great idea but poor design

We have had this refrigerator for 4 years. We love the design but are sick and tired of having to defrost the ice maker EVERY 3 months. Samsung service is very difficult to set up. We have have a national service company come out and they said what everyone else has been saying....you need to defrost it . I thought we bought a frost free refrigerator but I was wrong. They say this has been solved but I haven’t seen or heard anything. Maybe a recall or a consumer report investigation should be in order.

We have had this model for almost a year and it is wonderful! Food temps are perfect, the ice maker works great. It is well lit, and very spacious. Well made, and very happy we made the purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ice maker problems

Ice maker frosting up and preventing ice from dropping. Would give 5 stars but ice maker has limited use and just chip away frost to keep working.

Poor Ice Maker

Great refrigerator except the Ice maker bin was always too small and would run out often. Now the ice maker has quite completely after less than three years. For such an expensive appliance I expect much more durability.
Cons: Did not meet expectations

Ice maker has not worked for 2 years. As soon as the warranty expired we had issues with the ice maker. I have to break up block of ice every 2 days. Leaks water on the floor.This is a known issue yet nothing is done. This will end up being a very expensive garage fridge.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

Its big, its expensive, it was only bought less than 30 days ago to complete a kitchen make-over. And all the doors on the exterior have rust on them. All over, and its pitting so it won't come off. I've tried to wipe it down with a damp cloth as recommended, but the rust fills the cloth and doesn't come clean.

I like everything about the fridge except - if you need to clean the bottom shelf, it’s nearly impossible to take out. And once you actually get the shelf out, you still have to struggle to get the glass out so you can clean between the glass and the plastic. If I had it to do over again, I probably wouldn’t buy this model just for that reason.

On 10/2/18 I had this refrigerator delivered after ordering it on 9/5/18. The refrigerator Water and Ice does not work, The refrigerator is set to 38, but the actual temp is 58, and the lights in the refrig are not working. Very disappointing when I waited for a month to receive this refrigerator. Obviously, there is an installation problem and it will take three more days to have someone come out to do an "installation check". Shouldn't that have been done when delivered?
