Junk ice maker

I have had trouble with ice maker on and off twice the ice maker was replaced 1st time while under warranty second time my extended was just about up now the ice maker needs to be reset just about every week and now the ice bucket is broke frost builds up so much in the ice maker i have to remove it with a hair dryer once a month .Payed too much money for all this
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't buy

We bought this fridge about 3 years ago, and have had to have it repaired 6 times so far! So glad we purchased the extended warranty, or we'd have spent as much as the unit is worth in repairs alone. Only good thing I can say is that at least it never stopped cooling.

Great Fridge Until now

I have the fridge for about a year. Everything is working just fine and my kids love it, easy to access everything. BUT now I have an issue with the ice maker. It freezes over and therefore no now ice can be produced. I had the temp at 0F and then I turned it to 1F and it is still doing it. I hope I can find a solution soon.

Great Fridge, Terrible Ice Maker

We’ve had this refrigerator for nearly two years now. We love the storage space, the versatility in adjusting shelves and drawers, the door-in-door, and the water and ice through the door. The downside is the ice maker. We use it daily, but the ice gets jammed up before it falls into the bin and we have to break it up at least once every two weeks. Of course, the ice maker started failing when we were just out of warranty.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this 3 months ago. It’s very noisy, makes popping noises and the ice maker has already gone out & needs to be replaced.

Do you really have to turn off the water

Do you really have to turn off the water to change out the water filter? With my old Samsung, very similar to this one, the filter was in the back top shelf and just twist it out and twist in the new one. A few drips on the shelf but didn't have to pull the whole thing out from the wall to turn off the water.

Won't survive 8 years

At first we really like our Samsung 4-Door, particularly the middle drawer. But now in its 8th year, the ice dispenser broke, then the compressor failed, and now it won't cool below 50 degrees. We're on our third repair attempt to restore cooling. We've lived out of our old refrigerator in the garage for the past 30 days and it's looking like it will take another couple of weeks before (if?) the Samsung is fixed. Also, no local repairmen are willing to work on a Samsung.
