Nothing but issues and costly to fix

ice maker always freezes up, back of frig freezes up and i have had to pay for apliance repair twice in less than two months. time to buy a different refrigerator.

Ice Maker is ruined. Poor design!

fridge is 6 years old. ice maker has not worked properly since beginning. huge ice ball over and over again. service bulletin #asc20170602002 shows 7 different fixes that need to be done.

Terrible ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we bought ours approximately 1 year ago, these are our thoughts a year in.
first, we love the touch screen controls on the left door. controls are easy to use. flex zone drawer is great for soda cans and cheeses. freezer is ok for a weeks worth of food, any more and you'll need a dedicated freezer in the basement or garage. power cool mode is great for power loss recovery. only complaints are ice maker doesn't keep up and during summer ice melts in box as it is stored in fridge, and light scratches won't come out of stainless steel panels.
buy this unit on sale, it's not worth full price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

i normally don't write reviews but after waiting 2 1/2 hours on the phone with samsung i thought i would share my experience. i bought this unit back in jan 2019, was delivered a month later and roughly 7 months after that the ice machine started freezing. i thawed it out and for the next 8 months or so i am de-thawing it every 2 weeks on average. i finally call to have a service rep come out and it is out of warranty. so now i have a fridge that is worth less then the one it replaced (its ice maker still works and its over 10 years old). in a nutshell my business can go elsewhere from now on. this is a known error and many people have this problem, in other words a fatal design flaw that they keep shipping to customers.

i got this 28 cu. ft. french door refrigerator with coolselect pantry™ in stainless steel approximately 3 years ago. i constanly had issues with ice maker that has iced build-up. luckily we bought the extended warranty and the repairmen had came out 3 times to fix the same issues. side note, we also bought 82 inches samsung tv 2 1/2 years ago and the pbc board has to be replaced. i will never buy another samsung appliance again. junks!

ice maker keeps freezing up and it take forever to get technician. three times is a little much for a icemaker to not work. size and space inside is a plus.
