Don’t expect any ice!!
on February 19, 2024
Posted by: Frustrating
I’ve had this Refrigerator for years. Right after the warranty expired, so did the ice maker! I’ve googled how to fix it. Watched video after video. Tried everything. After I finally get it working, a month later it’s not working again! So frustrating!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Finally it goes to the dump
on August 28, 2024

Bought this thing about 2017 and problems started then with the famous ice maker. Samsung was unable to fix the issue during the warranty time. After the warranty you will be on your own, no fixing of a known problem and bad design in the first place. Lately, ice could only be removed with a heavy blunt tool. A week ago, something started grinding in the back. All repair tips pointed to the inside fan. Opened and found, it wasn't the issue, but found, that insulation on the hot side was molten to a blob of foam behind the cover. A further investigation found the issue again in the ice maker. The fan or whatever spins around in the back would freeze and made horrible noise. Done with this piece of (bad Word), it goes to the dump. Do NOT buy any Samsung appliances, they should stay with making laptops and memory sticks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

poor design, multiple problems with all appliances
on October 30, 2024
Posted by: Masnick
When we bought our new house we had four Samsung kitchen appliances installed (dishwasher, fridge, stove and microwave). Within two months we had the microwave changed out: the buttons were not capacitive touch and required a lot of pressure (we had to lean into the buttons). We've already replaced the stove because repairing defects would cost nearly as much as a new stove. The dishwasher has been serviced twice and the racks are disintegrating. The fridge ice maker has frozen twice; once we had service come out and once we just powered the fridge down till the ice dam melted allowing us to pull out the shelf. Now I have to buy a new adjustable shelf for the inside of the door because the existing one split.
I'll never buy Samsung kitchen appliances again.
