Problem with ice maker

same as the other reviews, the ice maker broke down just after the 2 years warranty window. based on the all the negative reviews it's a standard manufacturer flaw, why wouldn't samsung amend the problem for the future buyers? overall, very disappointing....

Worst Fridges ever

i have has 2 of these units and the same darn thing happened to both fridge's. the ice maker leak's and then once you replace it, stops working. it freezes due to the defrost time not being long enough so the darn thing freezes and you have to break the ice up for it to work again. this is the second model and the worst

i have had my ice maker go out 3x now. this is the worst refrigerator i have ever purchased and i will never buy samsung refrigerator again

i bought this fridge years ago, and i've hated it since the day i bought it. my biggest complaint is the ice maker. it is the slowest ice maker and it takes forever to get a piece of ice, and the cubes come out almost one-by-one. our friends own the same exact fridge ironically, and they too have the same complaint so it's not just us. the water is just as bad. i have to fill up my son's water bottle for school and sports and i feel like i'm standing at the fridge for an eternity to get water. even just a cup of water to make coffee. now my flapper on the door is broke so i jumped on here and was shocked to see they still make this piece of crap. we won't buy a samsung fridge again. they got good tv's.....just not refrigerators.

the ice maker is constantly freezing over. you have to take a hair dryer to it to thaw it out and then reset it. it happens every 2 to 3 months. when it does work the ice is soft.

Bought Samsung 28 cubic foot French door refrigerator. The design is terrible ice makers are faulty and broke in the first 3 months. Trying to get service is time consuming being bounced from retail store to over seas representatives who merely read from script. The final straw is the refrigerator completely died and now have had no frig for over one month. I also had to throw away my freezer items and frig items since it spoiled.

2.5 years of normalcy, then died unceremoniously

this machine has constant issues with the ice maker. one can forgo that issue but eventually the rest of the sensors/automation start to go into overdrive. you will end up with near incessant beeping that you cannot override, even if you are somewhat competent in programming. after 2 and a half years of nearly average functioning, i'm ready to pull the plug on all samsung fridges forever.
