This product has convenient features

I really like the space in the top refrigerator and the drawer is very functional for keeping lunch and individual items seperately. The one thing that is inconvenient for me is you can't open the freezer and grab ice easily. You have to use the automatic dispenser which is slow. The crushed ice is not always crushed it often has very large chunks.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Six months in and I'm very pleased with my purchase

I did a lot of research on purchasing a new refrigerator for my kitchen makeover. I went to many stores to see what I did like and what I didn't like. I had almost decided against this model because of a few review sites that had negative comments about how noisy this refrigerator is. My choice was going to be a different refrigerator but when I looked at the completing model I did not like it's freezer drawer. The other model's freezer drawer is difficult to open and the floating tray must be pulled out after the drawer is completely open. For my disabled wife this was a deal breaker so I took the chance on the Samsung. The Samsung drawer handle pulls up slightly to release the drawer and when the drawer is about 3/4 open the floating tray has a catch that slides it out toward you.
Through the door ice dispenser has cubed or crushed ice. Water dispenser is angled back into the door cavity so there is no squirting water onto the floor. Water and ice share the same trigger. Speaking of ice makers there is one in the door and one in the freezer drawer. Two completely separate ice makers! You won't run out of ice. LED lighting is bright and illuminates evenly to every corner of refrigerator and freezer. Water filter is located between the crisper trays and is easily removed by a twist and pull from the front of the open refrigerator. The deli tray has three settings for cooling independent of the refrigerator. Controls and readouts are on the outside doors. The door ajar alarm has save me a couple of times when I did not close the door completely.
Now about the noise. There is little to none. I can't recall EVER hearing more than a whisper from the compressor running and you have to be in the kitchen next to it to hear it. I do hear an occasional muffled "ka-lump" sound of ice dropping out of the upper ice maker. It certainly isn't an ice bucket challenge crashing sound and is less than 1/2 second in duration.
The other reservation I had was this refrigerator's ice maker would freeze up in the door. Never had this happen. I suspect maybe other users have run the refrigerator temperature way down below the recommended 37 degrees F.
The one drawback is there is very little storage space in the door where the exterior water/ice dispenser is located. In looking at other models I found this is true of all through the door models.
A plus is the inverter compressor which can modulate the compressor to match the cooling demand and save on energy usage.
I would buy this again without any concerns. It is a modern refrigerator with many convenient features.

Product is TERRIBLY loud

Frig makes loud gun shot type noises. This happens around the clock, and can be heard from the 2nd floor when bedroom doors are shut. STAY away from this item. Believe it or not, the handbook that comes with this item explains it makes "noises" while working. My 20 year old frig was sooooo much better. I only purchased a new frig so I could have all stainless in my kitchen. I am so unhappy with the result.
Cons: loud gun shot noises regularly

Love, love, love this refrigerator

Always had the another brand, we stepped out and bought this beautiful Samsung with French Drawer. The lighting is fabulous. The drawers work perfectly and have individual settings, very good for the items stored. The shelves just the right size. So much roomier. We did not buy the biggest Samsung Refrigerator, this one is is huge with so much room.
The French drawer is so perfect for water and sodas. The cooler temperature settings for this area is a great idea, we love the colder water. I think the food and drink products were much warmer in the old refrigerator..we would have never known unless we purchased this up to date model. The temperature settings are on the front door - with constant reading available. I love the ease of changing the water filter. Our electricity bill has gone down. Love it !!

Great Refrigerator

Purchased this refrigerator less than a month ago. Was recommended by the appliance salesman who is also a trusted family friend. So far it has been a dream. Programming and features easy to understand and operate. Very spacious and can customize shelving to fit storage needs. Quick chill and Quick freeze options are nice! Filtered water tastes clean. Cubed or crushed ice works great. And you cannot hear it running late at night,,, it is Quiet!

Good size. Almost too big. Had to remove sliding doors off of a sunporch to get this refrigerator inside. Delivery guys were excellent and arrived early.
The refrigerator itself has worked well. No issues with ice maker or keeping food at its proper temperature- all digital. Led lighting lights up the interior well. Stainless smudge proof is easy to keep clean.

My favorite Samsung product!

I never even thought to look for a Samsung when I went appliance shopping. I own several of their phones and tablets, but I hadn't considered them for a refrigerator.
I bought this fridge on sale, and at first I was hesitant to spend the money. I'm certainly glad that I did. It has been a great addition to my kitchen.
It has great lighting within, and all of the doors open incredibly smooth. The panel water and ice dispenser looks great and works very well with wet or dry hands.
The door hinges are what really sold me on it. On one side, the product is against a partition wall. It fit very snug, so I immediately worried the door-edge would contact the wall upon opening, but the hinge action allows the width to remain constant. Fantastic engineering.
Pros: Bright display, looks great, tons of storage!

Buyer beware!!

We purchased this refrigerator along with 3 other appliances a little over a year ago. Very shortly after we brought it home we experienced issues with the ice maker and freezer. The ice maker kept freezing up and the ice was a little melted when it was dispensed. We had Samsung come out about 6 times. Every time the ice maker would work for a couple weeks and than eventually freeze up again!! Now that it is over a year they will not do anything! However we have had this problem all along!! I feel it is a flaw in the design of the fridge. Now I am stuck with it!!
We have also had issues with our Samsung stove, microwave and dishwasher!! Unbelievable!! Stay away from Samsung products!!
