This product has a garbage grinder, but I have to wash all my dishes before I even put them in the dishwasher - extremely disappointed in this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

food stil stuck on dihes

i have only run my new dishwasher about 4 times but was amazed on the food particles still on the dishes and flatware. Some were dried on and some were soft enough I could spray it off with my sink faucet. Got this model because of the food disposal and filter adding they said you don't have to wash before you wash your dishes. I do clean them before I put them in just thought it would clean a lot better than this. Had my old dish washer for 17 years it was getting loud but it cleaned my dishes

I'm in Love with the Bottle Jets!

We bought this dishwasher about a month ago and I love it. I especially love the bottle jets as they have made cleaning my 8 month old's bottles a breeze!
The reason we bought this machine was the bottle jets and the fact that GE still offers heated dry, which was a must-have for us. Every time we have used this machine our dishes have been completely dry and spotless! This is the best upgrade we have made to our kitchen!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does great job cleaning

Performs great and looks great. Its not as quiet as I thought it would be. Although the "washing" is quiet the motor makes a constant wheezing sound, even with all the sound padding material installed. I presume it is normal since it seems to be working well, I would have rated 5 star except for the wheezing sound of the motor.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We went with this washer for the reputation, quiet and efficient. Unfortunately, it lacks something in the cleaning department.

Exactly what we hoped for!

After extensive research we (my wife and I) ordered this Dishwasher hoping it would be a perfect replacement for our 11 year old GE Dishwasher which was still working like the day it was new but we upgraded our kitchen to stainless appliances, all with GE profile products. This unit, although not a Profile, matched the other stainless products perfectly. After using it for two large loads we are completely satisfied with our purchase. Both loads were done on the "Normal" mode using "heated dry" with no steam, boost or sanitize options used and everything was extremely clean with silverware and glasses spotless. The "Normal" mode took 125 minutes, we didn't rush the dishes out after that ( maybe an hour later) but everything was perfectly dry.
I installed the unit myself making sure it was exactly level and all hoses routed properly. Although it takes almost a half minute for the water to my sink to run hot I didn't run it first like most people say to do just to see if it was really needed which it wasn't. The adjustable racks and side silverware holders make more room than
my previous model. We used the Cascade Platinum pod and rinse agent that came as a sample with the washer and will continue to use these products in the future.

my dishes do not come out clean

I bought this in August when my five year old Kenmore Elite was going to require a new mother board. It was cheaper to replace than fix. Did my research online and this got decent remarks from independent review sites. It was one of the highest priced models I found at THD but I wanted a really quiet model. Can say that it is much quieter than our previous model. The light has to be on to know it's running. Like the fact that the top rack us adjustable. Don't find the water bottle holders as practical as I thought they'd be. The silverware holder is a bit flimsy and often detaches sections. The stainless is harder to clean than my older model. But most annoying is how many dishes I need to scrub after washing and rewash. There has been some improvement since I switched to the auto wash feature. But not enough to feel as though this was a good , long lasting purchase. The extended warranty came out. I don't normally purchase these, but sense trouble looming with this model and will likely have to buy it. I am sorry I didn't spend a bit more and get a Bosch now.

BOTTLE FEATURE = AWESOME

If any of you have baby bottles and/or sport bottles, you know what a pain it is to wash them. The bottle water feature is really what sold us on this gem. My wife absolutely loves the dishwasher because it cleans the dishes spotless. The flexibility of the rack tangs is wonderful for baking dishes, pots, etc. There are a multitude of options for cleaning and has met every type of cleaning for us. Can't really say enough good things about this dishwasher other than it is pricey.
I would recommend this to a friend!
