Great dependable dishwasher

Very quiet and does it's job well! It also uses far less energy than the GE dishwasher it replaced.

Poor design-- what were they thinking?!

I've never owned a dishwasher that didn't clean the dishes but now I do. Even after having a serviceman come to explain that the detergent won't dispense correctly unless nothing is in front of it, including the silverware holder, it still leaves a mess and the upper racks dishes are not all cleaned. It runs forever. It sounds like it's leaking all over, although it isn't. I'm not sure why I'm actually giving it two stars -- I guess I'm grateful that 85 percent of the dishes (which I prerinse) are clean enough to put away.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quality, quiet dishwasher!

I bought this dishwasher just before Thanksgiving. I had a different brand dishwasher prior to this purchase that performed terribly. The rest of my appliances are GE and have been terrific...even lasting 15 years. So I knew I wanted my new dishwasher to be GE. It has not disappointed. It has a good array of settings and is easy to use. It cleans and dries superbly and is very quiet. Highly recommend.

Overall, I'm very happy with this dishwasher. I like the design and the added features (bottle washers and adjustable top rack). After using it for 3 months, it is more difficult to load then my old GE Profile machine. I have yet to find a way to easily wash big bowls. With that being said, I've never seen a machine clean this well! I can actually load dirty dishes with dried on food and they come out sparkling clean! This out weighs any negatives!
