These are genuine HP cartridges. I see no reason why remanufactured cartridges shouldn't be as good, but my experience is that HP cartridges are much less likely to cause trouble. We even once got a remanufactured cartridge that proved empty - the firm would have gladly replaced it but who needs the trouble? I only wish HP cartridges were cheaper or lasted longer.
