[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only good thing about this fridge is the set-up and style. When it was working it would freeze food on the top shelf of the fridge. We've had it for 2 1/2 years. It quit working 3 weeks ago; we had an extended warranty but it has yet to be fixed.

Then the compressor went out on my refrigerator and I found out how much I would have to pay to have it fixed!!!! Insanity. Very sad that this product isn’t easily repaired.

But in May the ice maker broke the water would run in the the ice maker and all I would have is a ice dispenser full to the top with a block of ice. Hopefully tomorrow I will finally get a new ice maker.....
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the refrigerator May 1, 2016. We liked the French doors for easy access and the freezer on the bottom. Also didn't want ice and water in the door, just the basics. From the time of purchase until last week the the product has given us excellent service, then the compressor failed when we out of town. We are now looking for a replacement.
Later just over 4 years before the most critical part died- the compressor. Apparently this is a problem with all these models. Wish i knew about it before i bought it. As for the fridge itself- great storage space. Made a really good cabinet for the month it was dead

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this 6 yrs ago with an addl 3 yr warranty, after reading the compressors on these models were known to go bad. Good thing I did. The 2014 to 2019 models had a new type compressor that does not last. LG replaced my compressor with a newer reliable compressor free of charge.

I bought this fridge to replace one that was less than eight years old because it was one of the few that would fit in my available space and my old refrigerator had totally died on me. I am in my mid-70s and this is the first time I’ve replaced a refrigerator because the old one totally quit and most of my old ones were at least twice as old as the one that just quit on me.
