Great fridge. Poor quality plastic

I have had thus refrigerator for nearly 5 years. It does the job but the plastic containers in the door and the shelves are of a poor quality.
I have replaced them already and they are either cracked or broken again. I have chosen not to replace them again as it is too costly.

Utterly unreliable!

After second failure of the compressor plus the condenser we had to throw the refrigerator away. Also LG never informed us of the class action lawsuit that was filed to compensate for these issues.

LG French door LFC24770SW /02

We purchased this LG refrigerator 1/09/2016 and the compressor failed 1 WEEK before the warranty expired. LG had it replaced. Many of the plastic have broken or shattered. The freezer drawer came off its tracks several times.
The evaporator-self defrost malfunctions and the freezer temperature elevates and food spoilage occurs. Ice cream partially melts and becomes icy upon refreezing.
The plastic ice maker fill tube failed and water accumulated under the refrigerator. The clear plastic cover hinges on the wide cheese-meat and butter drawer and the left drawer rail broke.
Repair person has attended to this two or three times. His successful advice recommends completely empty contents of refrigerator and freezer for >24+ hours to clear accumulated internal ice and frost.

15 years and running like a champion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this LFC25760ST model over 15 years ago...maybe longer! It's still running like a champion. We're just now looking to replace the door seals. We never hooked up the ice maker so we've always gone old school and filled the ice trays manually. That's one less thing to break! We pull the fridge once a year to vacuum behind it. Otherwise it's been set up and running well ever since we bought it. Thank LG! How about some door seals for this review? 😉

Just the right size

This refrigerator is just the right size to fit into our cabinetry and the storage space inside is great. The downside is that the compressor went out after only 4 1/2 years. This is not what I expected from an LG appliance. Hopefully that problem has been eliminated in refrigerators manufactured more recently.
