I bought this fridge 5 years ago and it ran flawlessly. Last week it stopped working and the display that normally shows the temperature showed FF instead. Some research on line pointed to a Freezer Fan problem, thus the FF. The fan motor was readily available on line for $25, after doing some research to determine the right fan. I spent $20 extra to get it here next day with Amazon. After watching a video of how to remove the shelves and the back cover to get access to the fan, I was able to replace the bad fan and my fridge is working again and should be good for another 5 years. Even though it broke down, the fan wasn't made by LG and I was easily able to replace it and put the fridge back together easily..

This refrigerator/freezer replaced a 30 year old Amana, and although I certainly do not expect it to last 30 years, it is MUCH better suited for our household now. We don’t come anywhere near to filling up the refrigerator space, the shelves are extremely easy to move around to customize the space, and we now have an ice maker after 30 years without one, which works very well, generates plenty of ice, although that generation does indeed make some odd sounds occasionally, certainly nothing bothersome, just a little mysterious until you realize it’s coming from the fridge and not inside your walls. Overall, the operation is whisper quiet. Consumer Reports gives this model (LFC24770ST) top marks, and deservedly so. I would recommend it to anybody.

I have been very happy with it. I especially like the warning “dings” when I accidentally forget to close the freezer or refrigerator doors completely. It is easy to clean and I like the way the the shelves and door bins can be customized.

I have owned for only 2years. It is broken already. Not cooling, constant running. No ice maker water filter. Noisy ice maker
