Quality at the first touch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of weeks ago. Just the feel of open the door and closing speaks to excellent quality. The door alarms are my favorite feature. We have had several other LG products and each one is better the other products by other companies. I do wish this model had come in more all the colors offered in some of the other models. And I wish it had come in a slightly larger size. However, the thing that attracted us to it was the absence of the water dispenser and really wish the ice maker was not in it either. We just wanted all the interior space and freezer space our dollar could buy. Overall, we will keep LG at the top of our appliance companies to select from for any future needs. Thank LG!

Unreliable

Bought the refrigerator just over 3 years ago, stopped cooling, no ice in freezer. Called LG, they offered outside repair tech to service it,changed 2 parts and still doesn't work. I month now without a refrigerator and waiting for the tech to change another part...
Plus they discontinued this model...Wonder why?

Does not maintain temperature

This refrigerator stopped cooling properly within 10 months of purchase. Right now I am using the freezer as my refrigerator. It is 46 degrees (set at 33) in the refrigerator and 32 (set at -6) in the freezer. I am awaiting a repair appointment. In the meantime, I have a malfunctioning refrigerator/freezer which is less than one year old.

Only 4 years old!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator was only 4 years old in September...discovered last night that the cooling system is malfunctioning and I have lost everything in the freezer and most of the refrigerated items. Called LG and they contacted local repair service who refused to come as they have too many calls and not enough service people...Helpful LG rep. attempted to contact other repair companies and I am too far away for them to come. Meanwhile I have no refrigerator...

I bought my Lg Refrigerator in October of this year and Was disappointed that the delivery men were not able to do as I asked them befotre they brought it in and proceeded to try to fit it in the place i wanted. They ignored my suggestion that they themselves measure the openings that it needed to go into. Thus, a big dent in the side. They gave me an option to accept it with a few less dollars. I opted to do it because of the stress and the side that was dented was against the wall. Another problem I am having is the doors always have to be pushed into place to close properly. That in itself scares me as I fear someone visiting will not close it properly and the bell just is not that loud. Also, I have a hard time getting the fingerprints off the stainless steel. I wanted the black/grey but they said that was even more so harder to get the fingerprints off. Alas, I am 77 and it will probably be my last one, so I will settle for that.

Compressor failed after 2 years

For the first two years there was no problem, but two years from the date I purchased the refrigerator the compressor stopped working. The repair seemed to work but 4 weeks later the internal temperature began rising no matter what set-point temperature I set inside the refrigerator. Although the repair service seemed competent and responsive, I am considering buying a different brand refrigerator so that I don't have to keep repairing this one.
