Problems with freezer
on September 9, 2014
Posted by: Anonymous
I have had my refrigerator for 1year 1/2 before i started having problems. This refrigerator looks beautiful and great space, but the freezer does not work properly. At any giving time your freezer may not open. it can take days before your able to open it. Even when fridge is leveled/defrosted it is sealed shut. You go shopping after work, you get home to put food in freezer only to find you cannot open freezer. I've taken food to next door neighbors. Until freezer decide to open. I have defrosted my freezer and two days freezer still would not open. Even when refrigerator is defrosted there's a possibility it won't open.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We had a small space to fit our new fridge in and our LG French door fits like it was made for the spot. We love our new fridge and it is soooooo quiet.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, Quality

More flaws than attributes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fridge keeps things cold but has several design flaws. LED lights are less effective than standard lighting. No water filtration system for ice. Stainless steel surface is extremely hard to keep clean and shiny even with the highest rated cleaner. Drawers and shelves are hard to reposition. No temperature comtrol on deli tray feature. I wanted a French door fridge that would fit in the existing opening. That it does. But at a high price in cost and functionality.
Pros: Style/Design

hard to get to things in this fridge

Although if has more interior cubic space than my previous fridge it is tough to get to things in the back without moving EVERYTHING on the shelf first. This is a real pain. The drawers are nice and handy, though shallow for the blocks of cheese I used to keep in the deli drawer. The shelves are not adjustable to the sizes I need and use so stuff ends up being stacked and stacked and stacked. I miss my old very adjustable interior that let me put the shelves where I need them The high point was this was one of the only refrigerators on the market that fit in the space I have available in an older kitchen.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Would not buy this type again

Bad design for crisper drawers, and I never thought about it. The sliders stick up about 1/2 inch or so and constantly get bumped taking things in and out of those shelves above them. The white plastic on those drawers is easily marked up. This may be true for all white plastic shelving edges, but I'm not fond of it. I now wish I had gone with a single door upper with a freezer drawer.
This thing runs a lot, like every time you open the door, but it's very quiet. I'd also prefer a magnetic front.

Sharp, slim fridge

I've had this fridge for three months. So far my only complaint is that the left door doesn't shut smoothly and takes force to close. Other than that we're happy with the purchase.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Product lacks features I miss in my old fridge

I don't like the french doors. I prefer one door on top and the other on the bottom. Adjusting the shelves isn't as efficient as my old frdge. Neither are the door adjustments. Fridge doesn't chill as quickly as my former fridge. I'm disappointed.
Pros: Style/Design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like my LG. Only problem I have is that it's hard to reach to the back of the top shelves because I'm only 5'2"; with the freezer at the bottom, the back of the top shelves in the refrig are up too high for me reach without using a stool.
