Crying over spilled milk

Within the first year of ownership a 1/2 gallon milk carton leaked inside, on the main shelf space. Unfortunately we didn't catch it in time before it spilled into the rear air exchange vents and running down to the refrigeration components.
THREE MONTHS LATER and multiple weekly purchases of bags of ice and at least 2 technician visits, the 2nd tech was able to convince his supervisor to replace the entire REFRIGERATOR. Oh, I did purchase the extended warranty. THREE MONTHS TO FIX IT!!!
And now I fear I'm out of warranty protection and I believe the water line from the water intake valve to the ice maker maybe frozen.
I'll never buy LG again!!!

Excellent purchase

Needed to replace a side by side. Only had 32 inches of width to work with. After searching online and in several stores, puchased this unit sight unseen. Very happy. Best features are the split shelves, the great lighting and the quiteness. There are noises at times but still quieter than the old side by side.

I like it, but it is hard to clean on the outside and some of inside drawers as well. But it is easy to store things in fireezer, but keeping it organized is a challenge in the big drawer, but what makes it a little easier is there is 3 total drawers. and the ice maker is in the door and that saves room as well, and there is a big section in door for lots of condiments too. so over all I really like it. If i did not have to have a repair man out the first month of purchase and it was a major part, but thankfully it was under warranty, but it was the electronic board, if not for that I would have given 5 stars.

This is a smaller size to fit the space we have, but it has all the room we need. I like all the variable shelving so it can be set up for how we need to use it. The holders on the doors are great, easy access to milk and other bottles. Crisper is nice and handy.. The pull out bottom freezer is easy to use and holds a lot. We wanted a refrigerator that was energy efficient. The unit is very quiet, however the ice maker is a little noisy when it pushes the ice out into the ice holder.
LG products I have purchased have always been reliable, I think this one will be also. LG always seems to be ahead with new product amenities. The French doors on this unit work extremely well opening and closing.

Amazing capacity for a 30" refrigerator

This product fits our needs because it has such a large capacity for a "standard" 30" refrigerator. We needed a new unit but would have had to completely remodel our old kitchen to fit today's most common models. We were looking for a LG since we have been happy with their new washers and dryers when we found their 30" refrigerator that would fit our current space. Now we can take our time planning the new kitchen without having to worry about our old unit breaking down and causing an emergency. The smooth white is a very beautiful finish and will become part of an all white appliance remodel. The bottom freezer is huge and the french door refrigerator itself is equally accommodating. We have found that both frozen and fresh foods stay fresh much longer. The LED lighting does a good job lighting both the refrigerator and freezer. The built in ice maker turns out enough cubes for a party every day. Another plus, on top the included one year warranty, the "Iinverter linear" compressor is warranted for 10 years.
Pros: Quality, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design

Faulty compressor

So not only did we lose frozen and fresh food but we were greatly inconvenienced when we had guests staying.
Plus we occasionally get annoying rattles and vibrations
