Bought this refrigerator/freezer since our old one stopped working properly. Looked in Consumer Reports and this was recommended as a top pick. It is very nice and the icemaker works great. Smaller than our last one but we are only two people so it is enough. We also have an old working refrigerator in the garage, for beverages.

About 2 months after we got our fridge, the ice cream started melting in the freezer. We put thermometers in both the freezer and fridge. Both compartments temps continued to rise until they were room temp. The compressor failed. We had to throw out many $$$'s worth of food. We are currently waiting for our replacement fridge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased about 3 weeks ago. I like the design of the freezer, not crazy about the drawer at the bottom. Shelves and drawers on both side are flimsy. Fearful of cracking or over loading.

They sent someone within 2 days of the call and he was able to diagnose the problem and get it running again that day!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 4 year 11 month old LG refrigerator that ran perfectly until the compressor failed on Friday . Doesn’t sound good, does it? Well, one easy phone call to LG, and on Sunday morning the LG service guy showed up (exactly on time) and within 2 hours, I had a brand new compressor installed and the refrigerator was back in business . I couldn’t ask or expect anything better. But it does get better, because LG ‘s compressors are warranteed for 5 years, including parts and labor, I didn’t have to pay a cent . “What a Country”
It would have been a good product for the price I paid. However, the compressor died after 4.5 years. It was under the warranty and I got it fixed no cost, but it might die again in the next few years. An LG technician came to fix it the next day I called LG and he fixed it in 2 hours replacing the compressor. If you live in a rural area, it might be hard to get an LG technician quick.

I bought it 17 months ago and enjoy every bit of it. Lot of rooms to store our products. The Ice Maker is the part that I love the most. It gives me easy access to ice
