[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had no clue about Dehumidifier, so I read a lot of reviews. So glad I went with this one. We live in the Pac NW and it has helped so much. I have asthma and when the air is so damp it affects me n don't want to move to AZ. Since using this throughout the house and the garage-it's made such a huge difference. With the dampest gone it even feels warmer in the house; so the heat is now at a lower temp. Not dried out like a prune. This product performs as stated. Chatted with on-line "Chat" and they were great! Wasn't sure why the unit shut off-wasn't in the manual. So did the chat-I figured that it may be because the unit reached the humidity level that I set it at. However, wasn't sure if it did that or a problem developing. The unit is amazing, saves power and turns the fan off. So to know that it will maintain that level-is a bonus. I do not have it hooked to the drain, but amazed how much moisture is pulled out. It beeps when it's full and it's so easy to empty without fear of spills. The filter is washable and so easy to keep clean! So far this product does what it states and works non-stop. Hope it keeping going. I'd buy it again and highly recommend it. Not a paid review nor did I receive this product free-I paid big $$$. :-) and would again. You won't be sorry.

Effective function with attractive design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When the spring and summer finally come, I'm sure that the Fridigiaire 30-pint dehumidifier will keep my office comfortable. Plus, it looks a lot better than the dehumidifier that I purchased in the early '90s.

Easy to use

We live in a climate that is rather damp and humid. We bought this dehumidifier about a month ago. It is so easy to use. All I did was plug it in and it is proving to be a real work horse. I get a full container of water every 18-20 hours. I have to say my favorite feature is the bright light that flashes to let me know the container of water is full.

great for damp storage area

My condo has an unfinished basement storage area that smelled very musty, and was starting to grow mildew. It was getting to be so bad that I was hesitant to store decorations and my Christmas tree there because everything smelled so bad. After just a few days of running the dehumidifier, the air is fresh and clean. It is easy to set up and empty the reservoir. The fan is a little loud, even on low, so be aware if you are using it in an area where that would be distracting. Overall, recommended.
