Saved my basement!

I thought this year unit about two months ago and it has pulled so money gallons of water out of the air it is ridiculous. It has saved my basement area from ruin!! Would recommend to everyone!

Frigidare dehumidifier

My basement studio apt felt damp, especially as the summer approached.
I bought this dehumidifier, and am so happy with it. It does a great job. It's nice to look at. I'm am not tech savy, and was very relieved that it was so simple to use. It takes about 6-9 hour for the container to fill. The container holds about a gallon of water. This appliance is perfect.for my 300 square
foot studio. Love it.

Great humidifier. This is the second Frigidaire humidifier that I have purchased. I had the first one for many years and was very happy with it. My new one is much quieter and I love the settings on my new one.

Decent, but Small

I accidentally bought this unit to replace a 70-pint/day model that I had for about 5 years. I say accidentally, because I chose this 30-pint/day model by looking at the size of the bucket on the dehumidifier that I was replacing and making the mistake of thinking that the capacity of the bucket was similar to the per day capacity of the dehumidifier. Instead, the capacity of the bucket appears to be around half the per day capacity of the unit.
The unit works well enough, but the bucket is so small that the unit is inconvenient for the basement (20' x 30') for which I bought it. I have to empty the bucket more than once per day, and if I go away for more than one night, I'm sure that the unit gets full within the first twelve hours, and then the humidity is back out of control for the remainder of my trip.
The unit would likely be fine if I had it connected to a hose, so that it could drain without any human intervention, but that also isn't practical for me.
Also, it seems (again, this could be a lack of education on my part) like the humidity meter and the mechanism to set desired humidity are not as accurate as the 70-pint/day model. After buying this unit and realizing that it is too small, I bought a 70ppd unit and put them both together in the basement about 15' apart. The humidity readings on the two units can vary by as much as 15%, with the reading on the 30ppd model always being higher, and judging by how the basement feels, I think the 70ppd unit is closer to the true value.
But strangely, I requently find when I come down to empty the buckets that the 70ppd unit is full, but the 30ppd unit won't appear to have turned on at all.
All in all, the unit would probably be fine for a smaller room with a less severe humidity problem, but for my money, I'll always go with the larger model from now on.

Adam McGahan, thank you for taking the time to review your dehumidifier. Your 30 pint dehumidifier is intended for use in a 300 square foot room with slight to moderately damp conditions. This dehumidifier was definitely too small to handle the (20’X 30’) basement by itself. If it is not removing any water check these items before contacting us for assistance. Clean the air filter. Ensure the humidity setting, RH%, is low enough to actually produce water. The lowest setting most units can attain is 35%. If you are using an air conditioner in the same space as the dehumidifier, then the air conditioner is likely already dehumidifying the air and the dehumidifier will not remove additional moisture. Bought two for my basement. Great because I have two of different sizes for partitioned basement with different sized areas. Cycles on and off quiet and silent when cycling off. Feel confident they're built well to last years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dehumidifier a couple of months ago and it has worked great since. It holds the basement humidity perfectly. It seems to run most of the time and my basement is not very damp. This is a little concerning considering the electricity costs. Other than that it has done a great job.
