I followed the directions about leaving it on continuous for the recommended amount of time. It collected a lot of water in the beginning. I have now selected a constant humidity setting and it is still working great. It's easy to move around, the bucket is easy to empty, and the fan is not too loud. The delay on/off feature is good but I wish you could set it to run certain hours each day....not a deal breaker though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I moved into a new home recently with a large basement. After a few weeks it was very clear that we were going to need a dehumidifier to keep things dry down there. I spent a lot of time researching and reading reviews and this unit came out on top.
When it arrived I quickly got it in place and it has been a work horse since day one. I have it running continuous with a hose that runs to my sump pump. So I just have it running and never have to touch.
I would recommend this 100% to friends and family.

Really love the external drain feature as we can leave the unit running when not at the boat for a long period.
