I should have bought a larger unit. The container fills up in less than a day and just sits there blinking and consuming electricity until I can empty it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

3 summer life

I purchased mine in June of 2018 and it died September 2020. For the 2.5 years it worked like a charm and the FO came on and based on what I read it died. I unplugged it and plugged it in again and the FO came back on. So Its another overrated product produced somewhere with built in obsolescence. I guess I should be thrilled that it lasted 3 summers..

Everything I expected in this dehumidifier.

This dehumidifier fits my need as expected. I use the unit on a porch that had always had a higher humidity level than the rest of the house.
