Find a Less Noisy AC

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in the summer and I don't think I will keep this for next summer. It is so noisy that I cannot sleep with the AC on a Hot summer night.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Chelii, I am sorry to hear that you are not getting a cool nights sleep. It is normal to hear ‘high pitch chatter’ a sound of rushing air, gurgle/hiss, pinging or swishing and vibration. These are all normal. For more information of normal sounds during operation, please refer to page 4 in your Owner’s Manual. Verify that the original installation procedures have been followed properly. Pay special attention to any gaskets. If improperly installed, even a high quality, low-noise unit can rattle mercilessly. If quiet operation is a very important factor for you, you may want to consider a ductless mini-split system instead of a window A/C unit. These are nearly noiseless, much quieter than any window unit you can buy. I hope this helps! Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth

I bought this 3 months ago and already need a new AC. After the filter light went on, I attempted to change the filter. When I tried to reinsert the filter, some wire got stuck in the way. Now my AC is working without a filter. Besides, this air conditioner is just not cold enough even for a small room.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The features are terrific! The design is neat, but I fear its only drawback is it isn't strong enough for the space that it is sitting in.

Not Adequate Power

It doesn't adequately cool off my bedroom that is 10' x 12' big & probably 10' ceilings. I keep it on the energy saver setting. I do like how the filter is cleanable rather than having to replace.

Love this unit! The only thing I don't like is that it automatically turns on in Energy Saver mode, but it's not the worst thing in the world, I just have to remember to switch it. Anyway, this air conditioner was a life saver this summer! So happy I purchased it and will buy again when I need another one!

I'm very happy I bought this model, it has good features , remote , also light comes on when filter has to be changed, the turning wheels one on each side lets you control where you want the air to blow , it's a great product.
