It's a bit noisy, especially at night I had to turn it off noise generated

Nice and cool, energy setting needs work

I bought this about a month ago. The unit was super simple to install, the instructions were a bit confusing, but the way it was packaged made it simple to figure out. Sits nice and tight in the window. This AC unit works great, the temperature goes lower than previous AC units I've had. I like the 3 fan settings,which may seem like not a lot but they do plenty of work. The fans themselves are decent for moving fresh air into the room.
My one complaint is the energy saving setting. Yes, I understand the purpose is to save energy and not have it on all the time. The unit is supposed to do this by sensing what the temperature is in the room and only turning it on if it gets to high above what you want it to be. I find that it rarely goes back on, and when it does, it's only for a few seconds. Even on a 90 degree day when I have it set nice and low around 60-65. This is a problem. I awake one hot night, waiting for it to go back on, hoping the heat was in my head. When I left my room to go to the bathroom, the room outside mine was cooler and DIDN'T have an AC in there.
Turning it on to the cool setting and keeping the fan speed on low is what I do instead of using the energy setting at night. Using the energy setting is fine if you're awake and can monitor/adjust the temp.

great unit but loud

this unit cools the room pretty quickly. i really like the features; i enjoy having a remote control and being able to set the timer. i also like that it was light enough for me to easily get it into the window. i know A/Cs are loud but this unit is really loud--it doesn't effect my sleep but i was hoping since it was a newer unit that it would be quiet. but i will deal since i sleep in cool comfort.

Fast cooling

This unit cools my room super fast. It's not the quietest but I enjoy the sound of white noise when falling asleep. The remote control and temperature setting is awesome and both work very well. I don't completely understand the "Eco" mode which shuts off for a while to presumably monitor the temperature (?) but it takes a long time to turn back on so I never use it (so I wouldn't buy it for that feature). Oh, and the vent blades are super (!) unique in their shape and allows you to aim the air very specifically.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this unit for a bedroom. Love the remote and the energy saver feature. Working great and keeping me cool during this horribly hot weather.
