It's quiet. I have it in a 11 x 13 foot dining room without doors and it really cools quickly and without being blown away by the fan. I really am happy with this air conditioner.

Quiet operation, good cooling.

Just bought this unit and installed it today. Seems to run quietly and provides good cooling. The only thing about it that I haven't liked is how the install went. The side curtains were problematic for me. Could not get them to not leave gaps. Had to use the tape that was provided to seal the gaps.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome Unit

Purchased this a few months ago after the summer heat started to kick in and the fan just wasn't keeping us cool in the bedroom. This AC unit works powerfully and fast. Very happy with its features and quality of operation. Could be slightly quieter during operation, although it's not as noisy as many older AC models used to be. Could just be that I'm more sensitive to the noise because it's installed in our bedroom. In a more spacious room of house the noise is prob less noticeable. Overall a great purchase!

Easy to use; works like a dream.

I bought this about 3 months ago and I love it. I purchased it because my boyfriend and I were studying for the bar this summer and were going to be closeted in our apartment. It kept us cool even on the hottest of days--and we were fairly irritable so we would have noticed if it wasn't very effective.
I researched various units before selecting this one. It was very highly recommended by Consumer Reports and it has exceeded my high expectations. It's sleek and attractive, to the extent air-conditioning units can be. The remote feature is great. The unit's button's are very easy to use and it's simple to see what setting it's on. The unit has oomph and is very effective at cooling. The energy saver mode is nice--it cycles between on and off as needed. I'd definitely buy it again!

I've had one of these for about to months now, and it's very efficient. It keeps my one bedroom apartment extremely cold, and the remote is very useful.

Best Cooling For Summer

This is the 2nd frigidaire I've owned. The 1st lasted over 14yrs. without ever a service call. It cools my bedroom so nice. I'm considering a 2nd for another room, but it's not in use....still I'm thinking buy now and store for summer.

So far, we've had a great experience with this air conditioner. Since installing it, we haven't had any issues and it seems to work really efficiently. We really appreciate the various options and like that it's an energy-saving air conditioner (as we also have one that isn't and it gets annoying at times). All in all, it seems to be a solid choice, particularly for the price.
