Poor Digital Tuner for OTA Reception

I receive my TV channels over-the-air with a quality external antenna and cable. This TV has had a very difficult time receiving some of my local channels. And several of those received frequently suffer from image degradation/pixelation. Compared to another older HDTV which receives more channels with more consistent signal strength and using the same setup, the Sony comes in a poor and distant second. Sony was contaced about the issue but unable to resolve. A disappointment and regrettable purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Clear and colorful picture

Over all great picture. However, can't understand why I have to keep changing the picture size, from zoom to full, btw regular shows and game shows. I.e: Millionaire. In order to get all the suggested answers in, I have to change the picture from zoom to full.

Few problems

I know it is up to Vudu to add it's app, but it would sure be nice to see what it looks like with the HDX Vudu can put out.....The 240 refresh rate is not even close to being right.. All the sports I have seen so far, have had blurs in the picture, and this is some thing a real 240 should not do...The older Sony we have, looks all most 3Dish, but this one (40” W600B) is not any where as nice..Bottom line is simple... get Vudu up and running, and fix the refresh rate, and I might recommend it to a friend...

Amazing picture and USB playback, TERRIBLE sound.

I love the picture, the netflix feature is smooth and reliable(Most times). The other default apps seem very useless. There is over 75+ apps I maybe 3-5 of those apps I would consider using. The sound output is terrible, I just used some old Bose Companion speakers to remedy that issue. USB playback worked very well for me.
If I want to open channel 7, then I must enter 7.1. The ".1" addition is automatic on Samsung. This feature is very important since if the Sony set has not warmed to the point it demands your entry my end up as .1 or some variation depending on the number of numerals in the channel being selected. This cause the audio to make a God awful racket. I must mute for safety when selecting a channel. A real pain!

I was told this tv had an audio out for my headphones and it does not have one in the back. All the inputs in the back of the tv are very hard to get to and you CAN'T SEE THEM!!
