Love this TV!

I bought my daughter a 40" smart Sony TV for college. I liked it so much that I bought this 48" version to replace our living room TV. I love it. The “smart” part gives us built-in Netflix and amazon. No extra boxes are required.
The picture is awesome. It weighs next to nothing. It is amazing how far TVs have come.
I dropped cable TV about two years ago so I use this with over-the-air (OTA) TV (plus streamed TV). This TV has a feature where you push a “guide” button and it actually creates a TV guide-like display where you can see a matrix of all programs for all channels (I get 51 OTA channels) for the next several hours. That is pretty darn amazing. Each channel must transmit that programming information and this TV collects it and displays it. The receiver is also quite sensitive. I get more channels than my old TV.
I thought our old TV was good. I paid an arm and a leg for it in 2006 to be an early adopter of high definition. But this new TV blows it away.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Unsatisfactory Quality Control

First set failed totally in 10 days. Replacement (new) came with improper screen mounting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Value from Sony

This is my second Sony TV purchase and the performance of this TV does not disappoint.
So glad Sony came out with a TV of this quality at the price
point of the W600B. In fact, I had not even considered a Sony because the usual Sony pricing is/was higher than I wanted to spend.
Have recommended this TV to a friend of mine who subsequently purchased and is happy with this Sony model as well.

Overall I am happy with it. This is my 4th Sony flat screen that I buy in the past few years. The only problem that I had, was that all of sudden I did not have access to any streaming service, and after trying several things to fix the problem I had to reset the tv to the original settings which I did not like doing it, because you have to go over the same steps like when you buy it....setting this....and that....all over again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Second Sony Bravia TV

This set replaces a 40" Bravia that is now 6 yrs. old and still working well.
At this time we would NOT consider anything but Sony Bravia. The picture is very sharp and color is so easy to customize.

best picture for price hands down. TV'a a 4 to 6 X the cost don't come close.
Needs sound improvement I believe so and add on system is probably a good idea though it is fine as is though with some shows quality of sound varies. Picture though is fantastic.

Awesome TV

TV is so awesome and crystal clear on colors. Watching sports or movies, it is a perfect size for my living room. Setup was so easy as I am using table-top stand. Connection to wifi is stable as well. Using photo share is a surprise to my family but still learning to use mirror view d/t supporting device not including iphone. Overall, such an awesome TV to own.
